Cyberpunk 2077

So apparently Sony already or going to removed Cyberpunk 2077 from their store till the game is fixed.

Must say, I have found hilarious glitches in my game so far. I think the best one I had, that my guy T-posing naked on his bike. Me and Gf had a good laugh.

Just wondering where all those people went that were bashing AC Valhalla with their glitches and saying Cp2077 will show them how a real game looks like.

And commenting regarding the graphics. Wasn't asking to run game on max full blown with everything cranked up. I just found it odd that with high / ultra settings with DLSS the 3090 that is R40000 card isn't performing that well at all.

There's nothing spectacular about the cp2077 gfx, there's no wow geewiz omfg element here compared to other modern games. Secondly like I said you can mod that 7yr old game to look amazing in the visual department without requiring beast hardware.
Yeah I hear what you are saying and I would say looking at this factor alone it is correct.

However there are other aspects to graphics where CP2077 just doesn't have competitors. IMO these would be the detail, scope and design of its OPEN world. The word open is very important here. There is no other open world game that exists that comes anywhere close to the complexity of what CDPR has provided.

To reiterate when it comes to texture quality and model complexity etc etc etc and those factors, it's good but certainly not a generational leap in any way.

I just had an issue with the hype regarding this game. My review on Raru was never published but others did giving it 5/5 in 2019.
People knowing of all the endings and which career path to follow well before the game came out. Then why even play the game?

As of writing this I have no idea about any ending, no idea why I chose Corp, all I know is I have a chip in my head and its killing me.

I enjoy the small things like I found a MyBB Covid Karen:

The AI is really bad though. Vehicle AI, people AI and cops AI for example. Not sure if stuff like AI can be improved upon a lot at this stage.

Bad AI makes the open world not feel as good. Compared to say GTA 5.

I found enemy A.I passable. they take cover, shout out to nearby gang members and use their powers fairly well. Nothing revolutionary though.

The pedestrians and drivers though. Thick as rocks.
I also question their claims that NPC's have set routines, because I constantly see NPC's spawn out of thin air. Unless spawning in when the player is nearby is a daily routine?

I have genuinely mixed feelings about this game. The art direction and open world look is just spectacular. It's also shown to the player in really unique driving / flying sequences where you're just a passenger and can look around and enjoy the scenery. The actual 'run and gun' part is TERRIBLE. I'm on the 'normal' difficulty mode, and it was easy enough to just run past enemies rather than engaging with them. Or punch out guys shooting at me with SMGs (because I forgot that I had to manually equip guns from my inventory at one stage). I think I just came to the end of the prologue, where you meet Johnny for the first time ... and it was like a 20 minute movie with just endless cut-scenes. It was a good story, but just super weird.

Meh, gonna keep going until it gets better, coz apparently it's meant to.

Yakuza is on my wishlist, loved the previous games, but this isn't a game which will be widely appreciated. A big, but niche market.

RDR2 is great, but I don't think the game was distributed on PC as wide as on PS. Hardly anyone who is a PC gamer that I know have played RDR2.

When it comes to landscape. Death Stranding has nailed it, plus the atmosphere, but the world is dead and it is supposed to be dead. Then there is Anthem which have a world which is an absolute marvel to look at, but we all know how that game ended up, and to think I have close to 50hrs in that game :giggle:
Death Stranding hasn't nailed anything. It's boring.

RDR2 was slow but interesting, Rockstar and Fromsoft are apparently the only two studios that I can put my trust in to deliver good games consistently.

Cyberpunk was so disappointing, I loved the Deus Ex games, and really like GTA games, and it felt like a poor man's attempt to mix these two. It's just so boring, game stories used to be deep, look at Xenogears, The Witcher, Persona games or Nier. Now it's just another tacky hollywood script with actors and "realism" to make it viable as a game.

The point still stands though, regardless of impressive artistic direction. What makes Cyberpunk 2077 so much more special that it can't run optimally on the platform that is home to some of the greatest looking games of this generation? How is Cyberpunk 2077 breaking some visual barrier we have yet to reach that it can't render on the platforms that it started development on at a steady 30fps? Yes, the game looks fantastic - when everything is working - but it is not running on some kind of revolutionary engine that is too good for the consoles 90% of the world is still running on. The truth is you can run anything out there right now on a ps4 or a xbox one with the right amount of effort put in for optimization. If Miles Morales can run at a steady 30 fps while ziplining, swinging and jumping around on a PS4, then I call bullshit that Cyberpunk 2077 can't while walking down the street.
Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess I'm in the "denial" phase.

Glad I dodged this bullet, think I will pick this up this time next year for half the price and get a working game.

Don't worry, I went through it too. I'm now in the anger phase. You will get there soon :D my advice is sit back on reddit and enjoy the memes

I guess Cavill is trying to play Cyberpunk 2077,

Game's already working.

On my 2nd playthrough

Console lamers whining about their terrible life choices shouldn't be the determining factor here.
Working and looks perfectly fine on my lame console. Will be even better when the next gen patch drops next year...
