Any one have a D-Link AC750 (DSL-2877AL). I have been using one on a 20Mb ADSL line with no issues. Last week I upgraded my line to 40Mb and now the router does not connect to the internet. The line is sync and active buit the internet connection show disconnected in the status panel and the internet LED is red. I tested the with a Telkom Pace modem and it works. I swapped the modem today for a new one and it have the same issue, no internet connection and the LED stay red,

Is this modem capable of 40Mb, I suspect not or is it something else in the setup

You need VDSL for 40MB.

Going to bet you were on 20MB ADSL before and not VDSL.

If this router can’t do VDSL you are stuffed.

If it can and you are syncing on VDSL already the you need to put the VLAN ID in to make it work.

I seem recall 835 VLAN ID from memory but might be a bit wonky on this Saturday night.

The Telkom router probably has it setup by default so if you could just check there to make sure what the VLAN ID is.

And then you better hope and pray the DLink supports it.

So after a few a hours of playing with settings it is now working. DSL mode must be set to PTM, not the default ATM. VDSL does not like ATM:mad:
