D3 Crusader Fortress

Yeah, it is strange, I think I've found about 6 and thats especially strange because I've never gambled for bracers. Got a decent holy and physical pair.

I've also found 2 witching hours and no harringtons though.

Also, still no leorics crown, furnace or heart of slaughter (3 blade of prohecy's and maximus though). RNG is RNG.
 
And the biggest irritation is that I've found 3 or 4 whimsydale goblins, and not one greed realm goblin. Last whimsydale goblin I didnt even bother to enter.

Im looking at my profile and comparing it to someone who is doing pretty well in terms of toughness and damage. Im missing bracers and a furnace, but Id like to talk about my toughness

Im trying to see the differences that is giving him DOUBLE the toughness that I currently have, and your eyes and assistance is greatly appreciated.

The main thing I can see is the Amulet offering 34% damage reduction from ranged attacks. What else?
 
1300 Vit for starters
And you've got 900 armour vs his 300 AR (AR is better on items, it gives you more eHP that what armour can). The armour you have on two items is equivalent (roughly) to the AR he has on one itme

Will need to try find more Vit, but Im not sure where/how

So the armor on my legs and feet should be AR?

1000 vit on weapon (with that socket legend thingy). You've already rerolled something else though so you will have to wait for the next weapon to do this
450 vit on your shoulders

It's mainly the vit I rate, but I actually have no idea how much toughness the reduce ranged damage from the amulet gives. Same can be said for the block chance on the shield, his has 8% higher block chance than yours.

Your gear toughness wise is actually better than you might think. You have pretty decent secondary resistances on all the slots where you cant really afford a primary AR affix.
 
His amulet does make a huge huge difference, I have noticed it when I switch to support WD, its the same with a string of ears, stat can be the same as any other belt but that redece damage affix boosts toughness tremendously
 
That amulet of his is beastly...to have that much toughness coming from a secondary affix is just obscene...
 
This is the first time I am actually investing time in a Crusader. I've played a thorns build the last two days and it is something completely different from what I have played in the past. It's quite funny to steamroll T6 with 350k dps.

When I started gearing during the levelling up I was going for the normal CHC, CHD, etc. Boy was I wrong.

170k dps and I can boost people in T7. Wanted to try T8 or 9 but didn't wanna risk it last night with the queue

Yeah I also made the same mistake. Will have to reroll some stats on items tonight to further optimise my sader. Pushing T7 with 230k paper dps.

Can you mix that with a Sage set for extra DB's? I need a DB farming char...but don't feel like making a monk again...
 
Hi folks. I was busy with Path of Exile for the last 6 months. Is D3 still bugged and boring as before?

I don't think so, you'd need to drop 2 pieces of Invoker and go RoRG to get full Sage's
6 piece bonus of invoker makes a big difference. Dropping justice lantern for RORG would also hurt
