D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

Grats! I'm so jelly, burnt through a couple thousand bloodshards at Kadala, not one Ancient Marauder piece yet

Were you running the Soj+Unity combo for that GR38?

Nah I don't actually have a decent SoJ, so for that GR38 I was on 6x Mara with Unity+RoRG lol.
Right after that I realised I could do better, so I switched out my Mara head for Blind Faith that gave me another +8% damage (albeit with a bit less hp/toughness). That took me to about 1.3m sheet dps, 8.5m toughness (550k hp or so)...aaand I managed to complete a GR39 with about 2m30s to spare.

I reckon we're going to keep seeing some big improvements as we add ancient pieces, I think I'll try to farm an ancient RoRG and Bombardier next.

Got a profile link?

I attempted a GR38 in a party of 3 DH last night, density on the first map was a nightmare, 2 of us lagged out quite heavily towards the end and we missed it by a couple minutes

Current discussions are that rolling out the main stat on a perfectly rolled item would yield better dps/toughness than keeping the main stat... even with ancients

Dang, with being limited to just under an hour a day for the foreseeable future, it's going to take me ages to get decent Ancients :(

I really need a better SoJ as well

:D after all my moaning about Ramadingdings guess what I picked up last night :D

How so?

Say you pick up an Ancient Amulet with:

+20% Cold Damage
950 Dex
10% Crit Hit Chance
98% Crit Hit Damage

Instead of rolling the cold damage for a socket, people are rolling the dex out for a socket

That actually makes sense.
Also means you can migrate it to another class if you want

I got an ancient RoRG on my console char. Nothing much to write home about, the roll wasn't too great. 7% AS, Dex, Vit. I think the main stats are in the 600 range. Can't check now. On jewelery ancient items are far less of an improvement. I'd focus on getting ancient armor first.

RoRG will always roll Life on Hit and IAS :( Ancient rings can roll up to 650 stat, Ancient Amulets can roll up to 1000 stat

I know. I just wanted one of the other stats to be CHC or CHD, but got Vit instead. Always re-roll the LoH to socket.

Ok, leveled to 68 last night. Nearly there. Have a quick noob question. If I have a weapon with a socket is it better to drop an emerald or ruby in there?

Depends on your critical hit chance.
At lower levels, definitely a top tier ruby. Once you start getting some CHC going, top tier emerald all the way.

Sorry, I don't know the break-even point.

Ideally you'd want a 1:10 ratio between CHC and CHD in the beginning which at higher stat levels changes to a 1:8 ratio

MMmmm, can't find my profile from work, sorry.

Usually when I solo I quite like the higher density maps so for chaining sentries together, but lag is crappy once you get more people :/
I also suffer a bit if guys are using skills like Twin Chakram. Since you're not used to it it covers the whole map and makes enemy effects quite difficult to spot.

Yeah, switch to frost arrow in a group, can only imagine how annoying it must be to others

No worries

Tell me about it! Our party consisted of:

Me (Cold CA)
DH1 (M5+N3 with Frost Arrow + Rain of Vengence)
DH2 (Fire CA with Krider>Immolation Arrow)

Trash was fine, it was the elite packs where DH1 would start killing my FPS with his Frost Arrow spam

I'm struggling to get my ChD up tbh. ChC is 45, ChD is 241

I can't view your profile at work sadly, which pieces have you got CHD on? I take it we can ignore 130% from the weapon flawless royal emerald?

61 on the ammy
130 on bow (emerald)
50 on Paragon ( I think)

Am on mobile atm and can't remember if there are items where I can swap out some chc or something else for more ChD.

Can't remember if the quiver can roll both, but if it cn I'd have to roll off sentry damage.

hmm all pretty low numbers there. Obviously you know that you want to get a higher rolled ammy which is easier said than done of course. But you also want a good roll on your gloves, and at least one ring if you can. That would be an extra 39(ammy) and 100 between gloves and ring. Which would spike your dmg up tremendously.

Absolutely. Been looking for a decent Ammy for ages. The blackthorne set helps with the elite damage redux and elite bonus dmg which is why I'm holding my own.

If I can drop swap chc and ChD around on an item I might try that.
