Data Bundle Balance Zero/Missing Data - April 2010

I bought a 600MB data bundle on the 28th March. I have a SGS and use 3G watchdog to monitor my usage and use wifi when at home and office. I woke this morning with an sms from Vodacom stating that costs are now being deducted from my account as my bundle is finished:mad: According to my data usage I have only used about 260MB. This is ridiculous. 3G watchdog has been mostly accurate for the last few months (give or take a small error margin) so why would it be wrong now? I am almost certain Vodacom messed this up and now I am struggling to get hold of customer care.

Has this happened to anyone else before because I think this is bollocks and I want it sorted asap?

Anyone else loose their data?

I bought a 300MB data bundle on 2011/03/23 which was supposed to expire 2011/04/30, I used just over half.

This morning I get an SMS that my data bundle is up (I still had around 140MB last night)

I log onto the Vodacom site and see this:
Data Bundle Reset 2011-04-01 00:46:52 - - 0 -122063872

Vodacom just decided to remove my bundle.... So far you have charged me R5.42 after removing my PAID FOR BUNDLE that hasn't expired?

THEN - I go and buy a 600MB data bundle, and check my data balance directly after the purchase, 585.60 MB, which is not 600MB - where'd the 14.4MB go?

Something seriously dodgy with their system. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm on a Topup contract.
 
WTF... Mine is also messed.. I had to also buy another bundle this morning because mine expired when it wasnt ment to... They better fix this.
 
So tell us VodacomData...any idea to what is going on yet?

data bundle miscalculation?

does this look right? as far as i know, the bit of the data bundle left over should be the first to be used the next month, then only should the new month's bundle be used. according to my calculations, i should have 309.87megs left for the month?

it's been a while since i used maths, but i think i'm right (because it's concerning vodacom and they're always wrong).

I cannot see your image, but Vodacom use your new bundle first, then the balance leftover from the previous month.

Because of this rule you can only carry over data every second month.
 
Well this all is a bit nervewrecking...........i am on a mygig1.2 contract for the last 3 years or so . Usualy my acount is about 1300 -1600 rand per month wich is rediculous. Currely i have a 5000 surprise in my post .... that i opened a week ago. I am with altech autopage. They cant explain to me why the bill is so high. I explained to the callcentre agents that i disabled eany kind of automatic update from windows and all programs running in the windows invironment incl antivirus ect. I do all updates manually.
i use a linksys router with a datacard slotted into it.
Now an interesting thing is that , i only recieved an email from altech in the beginning of this month telling me that i have a very high acount and if this is in order. I obviously told them .... No this is not in order , they must investigate. Not that i think they will have any success.
usually most consumers will recieve an sms or something of that sorts. In a router that is not possible. Autopage suggests i take the simcard and put it in a phone to recieve the sms's . Hmmmm .. i use it in a router because ???? im in an office which is busy !! right ... welll make a plan and get an automated email sent out to the consumer or something.

We have a service called altnum , i am not sure if it works on Autopager numbers as well but you can certainly give it a go. Put the 3G sim into a handset and then Send an SMS from your data SIM card #BREAK# with ALTNUM xxxxxxxxxx (alternate cellphone number) to 123, free of charge.
