So I just spoke to Saeed from datasim.co.za. The revised/relaunched datasim has been launced today.

The pricing is nowR169.00 per month and a once off R49 setup fee.

They run on Telkom Mobile network and Saeed has in a SMS confirmed to me that it will work even on MTN Roaming where there is no Telkom Mobile coverage.

They offer:

- Unlimited Data * - Why this has a asterisk = Blocked Content: Youtube / Streaming sites / Pornography / Downloading
- 10GB FREE WIFI * - I have no idea what this asterisk is for. I presume it will be the Telkom WIFI access points.
- R300 pre-loaded airtime (First 2000 clients !)
- R50 free credit every month
- Free SIM & Free Delivery

This can be perfect for many uses. They only start shipping on Monday. I've ordered mine, I'll update on how it works/if it works as soon as it arrives.

Lets hope this time it works and doesnt dissapoint again like the previous time!!!
 
Downloading is very wide term. If they block all HTTP/ftp downloading, it is useless.
 
Ordered. If it don't work, then I comfort myself with the R300 airtime (no refunds acc to TC).

SIMs are only getting delivered from the 18th onward, so hope to get mine by then.

Me thinks this is going to foil again though.

Same here.

After reading their terms and condition there is no mention what the FUP is on data before they throttle your Internet connection with the added benefit of R300 free airtime there is no mention on how much are the call rates to other networks. What invoice number did the system generate for you folks I got 441 second attempt 431
 
Got off the phon. If you use more than 6 gb data they will cut you off./ throttle you .

It's not truly uncaopen as they claim it be.. Going to lodge a complaint with AASA

What a joke. Not mentioned anywhere on their poorly designed website. Might as well just go with Afrihost and get 6.5GBs of unrestricted data for R244pm.
 
ordered my card on the 13th - still havent received it. Going to rather try and get a refund.
 
If people are that desperate for Data just get CellC GIGA200 or the telkom mobile 10+10
 
they don't have any sim cards in . What a joke...

If they allowed 15 gig would have gladly signed up..

They tell me some story they buy bandwidth in bulk. - technically I don't care if they buy bandwidth in bulk...I am more interested in how much bandwidth one can use
 
How can they have testimonials when they haven't even started sending out the SIM cards?
