What I want to understand is how they can offer us R300 airtime without losing. Bought in bulk or there's a deal in place?

Why even bother? Have you been reading the thread?

I am prepared to use a slower service. My daughters play these flash games that will take a bit longer to load, but as long as they work, they will be happy.

A bonus would be if I could play WGT, even if it is slower than usual. Same with downloading of mail.

BTW I have about 35GB of 3G data from TM, and I dl at 7Mbps which is great. I am on a farm so no LTE or ADSL here.

This sim will be my backup plan LOL.

I'll check tonight.

-1 for supporting a deceptive company.

Thanks, much appreciated.

In my mind 256kb is twice as fast as the throttled MTN "uncapped" service. At 110MB / hour this would mean about 79GB per month. A pity they block torrents.

I myself would go straight for Vetex, not Datasim. The fact that the APN is Vetex implies Datasim uses Vetex in any case. And on the Vetex site these constraints were specified from the start.

Assuming that you'd get max speed 24/7 ;)

Fair enough. Yesterday I averaged 15KB/s, time outs - time outs - time outs. You're only calling a headache upon yourself, unless you're going to Wikipedia and MyBroadband with this.

The concept could have worked if they started out being honest about the throttling, and didn't block ALL GAMING ports etc. Many home users, like the older ladies, sitting with tablets, on facebook, playing farmville etc. would have loved to use this.

Facebook and Clash of Clans would have satisfied me.:p
