256 Kbps is unacceptable if the service was 1 meg it would be acceptable in my books.

He did say he will reimburse money to those who are unsatisfied with the service..

I agree, thats the least they could do, is reimburse unsatisfied clients, but remember that the R300 airtime MUST still be unused.
 
Okay. Seems I made a huge error in getting one of these. Mine hasn't arrived yet and already it's money flushed down the loo.
Does one need to cancel this in any way, from not being automatically deducted or just not paying the subscription amount for the next month?

Just don't pay it again, it will cancel itself. Or thats what the website says, who knows if we can believe that crap.
 
My real concern now is that you folks handed your RICA documents over to the company..

Raised my concerns from the beginning

Website had no HTTP(S) encryption.. If your details are lwaked on the Interne.. POIA act

No, not true. They dont have our RICA documents. When we received the simcards we send a SMS to activate them, then we receive instructions on how to RICA within the next month, otherwise the simcard will be deactivated. I have not yet RICA'd.
 
I have asked for a refund. My SIM card has not arrived yet. I was told I cannot be refunded. WTF!!!! This is a huge SCAM

I'm pretty sure that under the CPA they have to refund you.

Really sounds like they are just trying their luck.
 
I just bought myself 2x 2GB bundles from Telkom. I can now use the normal APN and not worry about the vetex apn any more. Will be cancelling after my 30 days is up.
 
If you could transfer the airtime to another telkom mobile number you would score R80 for your troubles.

I might just try convert it to data and just download some stuff on the Normal Telkom network
