Exactly my point! And I have a recorded call with Saeed Moosa, CEO and Founder of DATASCAM, where he admits that they do not offer 3G/LTE speeds, as they have been informed by the "provider" that the product is throttled @ 256kbps. Why would we ever buy a 256kbps throttled service? I would not pay R50 for it, as it is useless to me!

Right, I just spoke to Saeed Moosa. He informed me that they are throttling the simcards at 256kbps. I informed him I will be submitting a complaint to ASASA. He said "That is fine, thank you".

I urge all of you to complain about them at http://www.asasa.org.za

They are scam artists.


Get in touch with Jan/rpm to write an article about this service ASAP.. They should have mentioned it's EDGE speed/tthrottle nowhere on their website was it mentioned they will throttle from the word go

Are the people that actually ordered this crappy product surprised that it doesn't work well?

Everyone knows Mobile Data uncapped is unsustainable.. I blame Mybroadband running an article without testing the service first hand.. The R300 airtime is giveN. If you unhappy with the service we won't refund you.. take them on with CPA

Agreed.. They are throttling the service, mot their service provider.. They should have clearly stated from the word go.. What speeds you'll be receiving with the product.. I am happy with axxess glad I didn't cancel my subscription..

I'm just baffled that people that post on these forums would be foolish enough to buy this product and expect amazing performance out of it..

If something seems to good to be true it most likely is.

I do agree. Still if we didn't buy and test this service, hunders or thousands of people could have fallen for this scam, knowing none the less. Rather thank us for testing this service!

Hey, can't you see where this whole thing is going? We are being conned. From 3G/LTE promises to now - 256Kbps with no where on their website mentioning that, even ToS.

They have changed the website to now state that "Service is throttled at 282kbps". On the phone, the tech guy said its throttled at 256kbps. I dont know anymore. I got a hold of Jan, he is doing a review on them now.

Edit: Still, after the edit on their site, there is still the little sticker stating 3G/LTE Speeds, but another page says thottled.

I could have told you that without buying their "product" ;)

Seriously though - how did you guys think they could afford to offer an "uncapped" 3G/LTE product at that price?

Does anybody have Jacqui O’ Sullivan's number? The head of communications at Telkom. I'd like to inform her that their company is involved in this because it's their network, and their simcards.
