Gcebile is emailing those who submitted their requests through to her with the updated feedback.

Bull****..

I have sent her my details and had confirmation from her that I was on the list and I have definately had ZERO feedback....

Feedback was promised on the 9th , not the 10th or 11th or 12th or even the 31st of December this year ....
Your CEO promises the world and then conveniently dissapears when the **** hits the fan.

I had huge regard for Shaun before he was retrenched and quite frankly since then the forum based support has been somewhat lacking.

Dear Valued Customer

In December 2009 iBurst launched a brand new range of packages on the iBurst Wireless offering. As a means to ensure that our current subscribers are afforded the same value as any new subscribers on these packages we automatically upgraded you to the new data bundle thereby significantly increasing your monthly cap at no additional fee.

As a part of this change, the throttled 64Kbps service was no longer available as standard on all packages and was made available as an optional value added service. We understand this has caused frustration with some customers; however as a month to month contract holder you are still able to subscribe to this service for R199 per month. Also available is a 128kbps throttling service at R249 per month.

If you would like to subscribe to one of these additional services or should you have any further questions in this regard, please email [email protected].

Kind regards

The iBurst Team

So it seems as if your CEO has gone back on what he said and we cannot upgrade to what we had before at the old price.

Iburst rep. Please clarrify that we can take the VAS on the 1GB package and do not need the 5 and 8GB packages to do this. Even though we need to spend over R400 where before it was only R200 for the same service. I do not regard your change to my account as an upgrade, but rather as a severe downgrade. Even better, I regard it as fraud that you remove a service that was part of the cost ( as well as a major selling point ) and now want to charge me extra for this service as a VAS even though that service is NOT EVEN AVAILABLE for my current service.

I also take it extremly unkindly when I ask for Jannies/or his secretaries contact deatils so that I can setup a proper business meeting and I get the following reply.

Re: Contact number

Hi Gary,
I regret that I am unable to assist you with your query.

To which I sent the following reply and am still waiting a reply.

I actually find it highly irregular that a CEO of a company refuses any contact with his clients after promising the world to them and seeming shown to have lied after the fact.
Nowhere on the Iburst site is there a general office number or anything of the sorts. And for me none of your helpdesk numbers work from the office.

I will definately be making a call to your building and I will be somewhat less friendly than what I may have been.

Gone are the days in Iburst when we started with the Beta. The day I signed up, I met 3 of the directors at the time and had a very pleasant chat with them about their plans and future. They seemed to care about their customers in those days. Seems like that whole culture is non existant now.

Sadly I kind of expected what Jannie said was too good to be true....typical

Gcebile - I've posted this here as well as sent to you via PM.

Thank you for your response. I've read it twice to make sure I've understood correctly.

My understanding is you've chosen to migrate me automatically to the new package, which I agree offers more cap at the same price, but loses the throttle service. As a courtesy, I was given the throttle service up until end Feb, and you are now saying I do not have the option to revert to my old contract with the throttle service, but instead you'll let me bolt-on the service at an additional cost - effectively doubling the cost for me per month.

Please can you confirm that my understanding is correct. Assuming that I am correct, I would like you to arrange for a waiving of any notice period for cancellation, as iBurst is clearly backtracking on their statement that they'd allow us to remain on our existing contracts.

Your urgent response would be appreciated.

Regards,
Justin

That is even if they allow the VAS on the 1 or 2GB packages lol.
It has been documented before that they do not.

iBurst confirmed that we can use the VAS on the lower package!!!!!!!!

Hi Alfred,

Yes you can take the throttle service at a lower package.

We understand this has caused frustration with some customers, therefore for the remainder of your 24 month contract the throttled 64kpbs service will remain on your account.

Thereafter, you will have the option of going on a Month to month contract option or renewing your 24-month contract with us and the throttled 64kbps service will be available to you as a value added service on all packages excluding Wireless Starter (80MB).

Should you have further questions in this regard please email [email protected]

Kind Regards
The iBurst Team

Seems there are 2 versions of the email, one for customers on a contract one for month to month customers. My understanding is that if you are on a contract you get the 64kbps option for the remainder of the contract.

Well if i can keep my current contract as is, its fine. Got a few months left and then iam gone.

I find it most amusing that iBurst choose to only respond to certain comments.

Two questions :

1. when iburst will offer full speed uncapped packadges ?
2. when will they be moving from 1mpbs to maybe 2mbps or even 4mbps ?

Are any of the above in the pipeline ?

currently online streaming is a bit choppy on the current 1mbps connection. some channels are very choppy and buffer constantly. ( my signal is 100% )

Sent the iburst rep a pm , but also trying to get a fax through

hmmm, when will something like this be available in S.A :

http://www.itwire.com/telecommunica...gets-a-speed-boost-to-2mbps-and-a-voice-phone

??

Kyocera, the manufacturer of the iBurst technology behind Personal Broadband Australia's wireless broadband service, has announced a new desktop modem that will double download speed to 2Mbps.

It will not require any upgrade to an iBurst network: the
speed doubling will be achieved by aggregating two data streams for a single user. Kyocera also produces USB, PCMCIA and ExpressCard iBurst modems but has not indicated when 2Mbps versions of these might be available. The new desktop modem will be available in March 2008.

iburst australia have been 2mbps for almost 2 years already.

maybe Iburst S.A should start marketing these new desktop modems ..
