Thanks downloading the update now. For some reason when checking for updates on the TV itself there is no updateHi Backstreetboy,
I have a feeling that the JU6000 is not sold in Australia hence it's not listed on that (AU) site. When I bought mine, there was a netflix picture/icon on the box which, for obvious reasons I assumed meant it supported the app.
A new firmware version (1440.8) was released this week. I've updated but I still cannot activate netflix on my JU6000.
Or an Apple TV.Get a Chromecast!
So much better than the Apps on your TV
Ok I have some more info via a chat this morning with Netflix rep below. Makes sense as I have seen other people on Samsung ZA Facebook page with same TV and same issues. Samsung rolls out these TV's without asking Netflix for certificates to support these models.
Netflix: Benjamin
Thanks for being patient, so it looks like we are aware of this, and I did confirm the information on the back end with your TV, it looks like the reason we are getting this error is because the Netflix app was pushed out to Samsung TV's via Firmware update when Samsung never intended to do that, fear not, what I can do is start up a report so my team can get in touch with Samsung officially saying that your Samsung TV (UA48JU6000) needs to be a supported device in South Africa.
Thanks Payback,
Hopefully that communication between samsung and netflix doesn't take too long. Did you manage to get a timeframe?
And the Blu Ray players that have Smart Hub please
Go to smarthub and press FF 289 RW. See link in my post.Samsung BD-E5500 Smart Blu Ray player. I tried the hacks on the net, no go. There is no region setting under setting in the player, unless it's a hidden function.
