What is our perceived stance on your post? Just so we get the context right.
My perception and assumption is many in here have no problem with things the way they are because they do not know, nor care, about the plight of the lower classes. They see them as leeches who caused their own issues and vote the ANC into power, therefore deserve to be in the position they are in.
I detest the ANC with a passion, and even I know when they F up I become one of their biggest critics. But the ANC did not build the hundreds of townships across South Africa just because certain races weren't good enough to live amongst another certain race. I gave EVERYONE in here Acts they could read up on to see why black/coloured/indian people tend to complain about land issues.
Reason I asked "1. Do YOU REALLY understand what actually happened in South Africa? Not what YOU read in some book, but actually grasp what happened?" is because if you did and actually cared instead of complaining about how abused you are from your comforts, you'd actually be doing something for someone else.
Reason I asked "2. Do YOU understand the concept of cultural assimilation and how it was applied to South Africa?" You'd understand how most races besides your own have been conditioned to hate themselves just because the those races were made to feel second class, this isn't even unique to South Africans, but every race Europeans came into contact with. You'd understand what legacy that left today "even 20 years in our democracy", but again I doubt you care, because it doesn't bother you and is not your problem.
Reason I asked "3. Have YOU ever sympathized with anyone in South Africa's lower class (or any class lower than you), be it a poor coloured/black/indian/white person, or do matters outside your boom gate (or where ever you reside) don't concern you? (If YOU) Hired a maid, it doesn't count as "sympathizing". You needed a service, they provided you with one!"
Is because if you did care, instead of doing good things for people on allocated days or when forced to, you'd drive through places like Diepsloot/Gugulethu etc and see how people live in there, or take a drive to one of the many villages across the country to see people who still live without electricity and actually understand their plight. Not some article in some paper, but actually understand and know and call them by their first names. Again this is not an obligation therefore you shouldn't care, it's not your problem as long as you pay your taxes.
4. Have YOU ever visited ANY South African historical monuments (on your own accord and free will, not a mandatory bloody school trip)? From your prior answer, have YOU visited any Apartheid museum, or any monument that aims to make people aware of the realities of Apartheid?
You would know besides the ANC there were many many more apartheid fighters, therefore the ANC DO NOT REPRESENT ALL BLACK PEOPLE! You would know and understand that some black people understand the roles played by people like Bram Fischer, Joe Slovo, Helen Jospeh or any other Caucasian freedom fighters (which ANC supporters choose to not even bother knowing). So stop trying to make it seem like ALL black people are trying to take away your McDonalds Supersized meal, what black people like myself are trying to make you aware of is while you stuffing your face with all the delights and comforts your life have given you, there are perhaps millions of others out there who can't even have a meal and all they asking is understand their plight while they trying to play catch up. But again this shouldn't be your problem, because regardless of what happened you wouldn't be in their shoes if things had turned out differently for you right? Since we are insulting each other
