Depression.

Thank you for explanation in detail. A month is too long to be having continuous brain zaps. You are brave coming off the meds, even gradually. Hopefully the improvement will be permanent and you can enjoy life SSRI free. Wouldn't that be awesome.

Let's hope, yup.

How strong a dose were you on Copa? Must have been quite hefty for you to feel a dulling. Cipralex 10mg and I don't feel anything.

On to other ideas - cannabis oil? Or doesn't that help for chronic depression?

Cipralex 20, down to 10 now, and can feel a difference.

I have no clue with regard to cannabis oil and depression; I'm certainly not averse to trying alternatives (in fact, I find the concept of micro-dosing quite interesting...)

One thing, for me personally, is that if I am going to do this, I cannot drink any alcohol whatsoever. Booze absolutely WRECKS my mood, 110%.

So,

Down to 5mg of Cipralex and still no alcohol.

It is, I think, doable, but I will need to closely monitor things and respond appropriately.

I can sense the heavy, oily darkness just crouching and waiting. But I shall persevere.

Good Morning.

I have been advised that when you drink concerta that the companies where your policies are held is informed and you are flagged as high risk customer. ( It is seen as a mind altering drug )

Is this the same for anti depressants?

Watched a documentary called "Food Matters" last night on Netflix. A guy on there said that high doses of Niacin is very effective against depression. Think they were talking about 1500mg or even higher per day. Any of you guys know about this? Tried it?

How would you drink it aren't they in pill form?
You talking about life policies or just insurance policies in general, how would they even know you are on any medication?

Concerta is for ADHD, and is prescribed by the boat load. I seriously doubt anyone is going to care that you tell them you are taking it. The only people who shouldn't be taking this are elderly, which is probably what you are referring to.

Yes. But from I understand about Niacin, you need to get the normal one, not the flush free one. If you take the non flush one in large doses it can be bad for you. But from the sounds of it, for it to work for depression you need to take high doses of it. In the documentary they said that the guy that founded the AA came accross this fact of Niacin for depression in high doses and helped the alcoholics a great deal with their cravings and depression.

Flush free? What do you mean?

You get two kinds. Normal and flush free. The normal one, when you take it, it makes you flush. Like blushing ... but time a 1000 and makes your skin tingle. It can vary from being amusing to a little unnerving, but does not last all that long. Best to take it at night before you going to bed some people are saying when you take very high doses so that you dont flush in public :)

That stuff can be very uncomfortable, one tablet of medium strength makes my face go all weird, tight/flushed/hot, lasts for a good while as well.

Taking high doses of that must be miserable.

Absolute nonsense - whoever told you that needs to share whatever it is that they're smoking, because they're H.A.F!
