Hi all

I hope the tech gurus get to this one.

One of the laptops at home is not detecting home wifi router but is detecting all others.

The router is detected by multiple other phones and another laptop as well - so I don't think the issue is with the router.

Not sure if this adds value, but its a new fibre router from Afrihost

I have tried many things thus far, including:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
Network reset

Network adapters list.
Right-click the Wi-Fi network adapter > Properties.
Power Management tab
uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

So far, nothing's worked.

Your advise is most welcome

will give it a shot.

I see that : "Selecting the proper Wi-Fi channel can significantly improve your Wi-Fi coverage and performance. In the 2.4 GHz band, 1, 6, and 11 are the only non-overlapping channels. Selecting one or more of these channels is an important part of setting up your network correctly." so i'll probably try one of those first

The solution was on the router, but alas, not in the changing of channels.

I had to enable the "backup wifi 5" option

Thanks for the assistance
