surprised? Im not really

Like I posted on mygaming... Only certain amount of hype a company build before people start getting p!ssed off and you start increasing the chance that its only going to disappoint...

Like Starcraft 2 all over again.

thoughts?
 
I wonder between Diablo 3 and the Mayan end of the world which will happen first?

In fact, just upgrade the graphics on D2 and I'll be happy.

It seems to me as if the Game companies cant seem to get anything right, If they release it with bugs the community moans, if they release it late and properly the community moans.
 
I care not, I'm waiting patiently. Find alternatives to while the time away (SC2, Rage, Skyrim, etc) and will buy D3 when it's released. Why so much expectation, getting all aggro and unhappy? Chill out, and enjoy it when it's released. Easy!
 
from what I have read it would appear that they are dumbing-down the mechanics of the game.... pity really.

I mean to take out the dexterity, strength, intelligence etc etc mechanic... :rolleyes: That is classic Diablo stuff right there

If I wanna play console games, then I would buy a console. I want a pc-exclusive game damnit!!! :mad:
 
Do you guys realise that Blizzard never set an official release date?
People do this for every Blizzard game - people speculate on a release date, assume its an official one and then when its missed people think the game was delays, when in fact blizzard have not given an official release date.

Not even close, sorry. DNF was a sad case for sure, but D3 has nothing in common

Clearly a lot of people created a release date in their heads.

To the DNF relation, there is no relation. 3D realms got engine obsessed and blizzard is no where near that, they always was it is ready when it is ready, in fact they've already canned one game because it wasn't ready (warcraft rpg, no not wow the orc one). So get your heads out of your whiny diapers and let the people do their work which is development, btw.

Gah, gamers can be such a bunch of QQs ;)

do you actually follow any blue posts???

no one was saying that they missed a release date. but when they come out just before Christmas saying that the game needs a final tweak here and there, and then 3 weeks later they say they reworking a lot of the major mechanics of the game...

well yeah, thats what I call a delay

Link us the official release date please :)

There's a difference between saying it's going to be in last q of 2011, maybe christmass and an actual press release saying it will be released on day X.

all Im saying is that they build an expectation by the things they release on the blue posts. it creates a sense of where they are in the dev and the feeback given on the beta forums. both official and diablo 3 inc

then they come out with something like this, which isnt a opposite to a specific date... but its an opposite to a specific impression they previously created themselves

so if you wanna get technical I guess its not a traditional delay on the release date, but its just a further delay and its damn annoying...

know what I mean?

In part, but you can't blame them for people taking it a step further and creating a date. So they are going to have scope creep, what's new. A lot of development houses have them, delay, build a bridge, get over it and release. At least they don't leak their builds and blame pirates...
