Diablo 3 delayed

ive been reading and looking at the youtube videos...

looks like latency is going to be a non issue for us!? An australian oke was testing with 250ms latency (which is horrid according to them... haha try come to Africa!)

he demonstrates the difference in how the servers communicate in D3 vs D2. Was quite interesting and Im quite happy about that!! Im sure we all are

yep , its like arcade type of mmo etc, the fighting is hack and slash but it is a mmo.

your guild can also control a town and collect taxes etc , loads of extra stuff to do, and the gfx is powered by unreal 3.

only problem is launcher that seems super slow download speed, tried more then 1 isp, max i got was 90kbs.

hmmm not out yet by the looks of things... Good thing I got Skyrim :love:
 
Article annoyed me for three reasons...

Diablo 3 has not been in the making for 12 years as the article states, it has been 12 years since Diablo 2, I don't know what the Author is trying to achieve by mentioning 12 years 3 times in the article.

2. These major changes should not be applauded as they seem to just be consoling the game in order to make more money(makes sense financially as console sales far outweigh pc sales as far as i know)

3. Who really expected a Q1 release and do we really need more reminders of this game at this time? rather wait till we have an official eta.

Also looks like a lot of people are going to be disappointed with this game though it will have magnificent sales and they will call the game a huge success as a result (who has already per-ordered it or the collector's edition)

lastly how long ago did bt games start their 'per-order's' for Diablo 3?

I don't think people will be disppointed with it's blizzard afterall they know what they doing sure it is taking forever
but starcraft 2 also took about 10 years yet it's awesome also got delayed like 20 times.It's like the one producer said in a interview they not trying to make a new game they trying to make the next diablo...
 
It's going to be great, and I am certain that every single person whining about the wait, and how very disinterested this is making them, will buy the game, and spend the next half a decade playing it.
 
Waiting for D3? Its going to be a while!
So do yourself a favor and get Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning while you wait. Awesome game.

These guys deserve your money imo! But do not buy on Steam as its like crazy expensive there - $59.99. Rather go the Origin way R 350...
 
Seems Diablo 3 will be Blizzard's first bad game since Warcraft 3.

Let's hope not, though.
 
I tried to play a beta release I managed to nab online somewhere, but deleted the download as is seemed shady after a scan...
 
Diablo 3 will be great, and after playing the Beta for many MANY hours, I can assure you guys that it will be amazing :)
The cinematic quality as seen from the trailers etc is breathtakingly beautiful. And the in game sound (if using 5.1 or 7.1) is too awesome for words, and as a friend put it (hoor hoe 'n zombie grom en 'n quill fiend bef[]k raak). The bass on some skills are quite intense too, giving you that 'smashing' feeling. :O

The art direction of the game isn't actually as bright and happy as most critics make it out to be.
As you can feel the emotion captured in the game with burning corpses everywhere, the townsfolk being completely over everything thats happening around them. Smoke filling the village etc. You actually feel it. You can picture yourself in that town, with all the ***** happening around it, and that is quite something. :) And if you still feel the game is too 'happy' drop your gamma :P

Take all of that with the random items and the fast paced combat that is the Diablo universe and you have a GG.
The last patches changes were a bit weird at first, but I can see how they did it for the better of the game.
So just wait patiently till the game releases at the latest end of Q2 2012, till then go reroll a new char in Diablo 2 :P

*oh another thing, if the difficulty of hell/inferno that they showed in that recently released video is anything to go by, then we're in for a fun time :D

personal opinion... I thought Warcraft 3 was a great game for its time.

agreed, cant wait. So what is the initial lvl cap going to be? It looked to me like they planning on leaving some room for expansion, patch's etc.
