Dicing drivers kill 5 in one day.

I might sound like a parent or grandparent when I say the following, but the current generation of young people are not of a very high calibre. While I do not want to paint all young people with the same brush, one just has to look at the faces of these clowns that occupy these cars and I am sorry but my generation did not partake in such activities as street racing.

You're right. Happened about the time discipline become an infringement on their rights and morals/values/decency became taboo with the cries of "who are you to enforce your values on me/don't judge me" attitudes

Hush, Alan. You're treading on these people's Freedom to race cars in the street. Carry on along this line and we'll be back to the days of slavery...

I do enjoy the occasional "flat-footing" of the accelerator pedal, but that is very seldom.

Most of the time I drive around well within the speed limits. Must be old age :o :D

But why try to beat the clock? Either you leave early and get there relaxed and on time, or you don't.

I've always wondered why most new cars have a 240km/h or higher capability if there is no road in SA where you are allowed to drive more than 120km/h?

Officially it's because you might need to accelerate quickly in order to prevent an accident.

Unofficially it's because cars are required by law to be inversely as functional as the owner's penis.

Hehehe,

Well I'd like to see a car pull away at 150km/h to avoid an accident. :D

This country has the most retarded road system on earth. If we had proper law enforcement in any aspect we could have had highways like in germany where you can drive as fast as you want if your car can handle it and keep left if you're driving slow so that other people can overtake you.

But our road sucks. Our law enforcement focuses on cheating people for money and our drivers are a bunch of inconsiderate baboons that drive over young men ...

I think the reason this only works in Germany is because only German drivers are anal enough to comply with ALL traffic signs.

Plus (I didn't know this) if you're going faster than 130kph on the Autobahn and you cause an accident, your insurance company has the option of not paying up.

Which is fair I reckon.

Yeah that's all good. But you should know what your car is able to do and what is unsafe. But yes, that is fair. I'd love to travel to work each day driving 180 km/h :D.

But in all seriousness now, what a tragedy. I can't imagine what the parents must feel like :( Such young lives.

The drivers responsible made the worst decision they could ever make in their lives and now they have to deal with it until the day they day. If their sentence does not eat their brains, their conscience will- for the rest of their lives.

...it's also so that when blue lights are attached they can efficiently drive through peak hour traffic.

In SA they are only interested in generating money via fines, not to create good road users. Do you have any idea how much German highways costs? Those highways are about 0.5m thick and their maintenance routine is more regular than taliban prayer sessions. Incline of a road will also not exceed x degrees so as to save on fual consumption, no heavy bend radii etc.

SA people are to stupid to drive fast, taxis see a safe following distance as an opportunity for a gap. Will never work here.

So who won? The coke addict or the drunkart??
Why does racing always take the blame :(
