OP, why don't you ask a woman what she meant? She lives far away (30min + drive) so she is just warning you it is a long drive so you know what to expect and don't arrive all sweaty and grumpy saying "hell, you live far" (because men don't think ahead). That's all. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Unfortunately not, I think she means:
It is a long drive to pick me up and drop me off and drive home again........ so don't get any ideas.
Why don't you meet her for lunch near your workplace to get more comfortable with one another first?

I felt coffee was the least pressured way to meet up. It can be short and sweet if it does not go well. Coffee can also become lunch which can become drinks. :D

I probably have massively over-analysed this as I always do haha. I will just play it by ear. Not much else. Don't think badgering her with messages asking her if she made a decision is a smooth move. Offer is on her table, up to her to say yay or nay.

Worst scenario, she says no or just doesn't get back to me, do I follow up?

If she says no, then no. If she doesn't get back to you that doesn't mean no. Wait a while and then do a casual coffee invite. Good luck , you seem like a nice man. Hope it goes well for you. Just try to relax and be yourself.

You could also use the old - "I was in the area, and was wondering" line ......

That sounds reasonable. And thank you.
