Hi all

wonder if there is anybody out there that can help me with an effective healthy lifestyle plan...

I'm 23 , female, 159cm and weigh 91kg(shhhh) Since I had my daughter last year I am really struggling to loose the weight. since February I have lost 7kgs and now I'm going no where slowly:wtf:... My goal weight is 75kg and would LOVE to loose about 1kg a week.
I have cut out my sugar ,high carb intake and take aways. I run treadmill for 30min, 3 days a week.

I have tried most diets , they more like quick fixes and I end up picking up the weight again (with some extra)
I am completely motivated and if I have my head fixed on it , I know I can achieve my goal!! I just need some guidance and a little help with which foods I should be eating to achieve my goal!:D

Losing wieght is suuuuper easy, eat at a calorie deficit.

However with you not being super active, I would recommend LCHF.

I lost in total 40Kg's :) (SOme on LCHF, I am not on a calorie controlled plan, with some intermittent fasting + Gym twice a day).

congrats on your weight loss , how long did it take you to loose 40kgs:wtf:?

so basically I should be doing the whole banting thing? I have done it before lost about 8kg (with the secrets help) but picked it up again, sigh!!!
Being super active is a bit hard for me, I'm new to the whole active lifestyle thing so thought treadmill is a good start?

Was done in stages, lost 15kg's one year, then another 15 the next and this year so far have dropped 10, but am going hard core :) My Body fat percentage is now around 12% from something disgusting.

Yes, but you have to change your thinking, if you bant it becomes a lifestyle not a diet. Diets help no one.

Any activity is better than no activity.

that's awesome..

Slowly getting there , I guess...
with a body fat percentage like that , I think I can ask you this question.. would it be advisable for me to take a fat burner or am I wasting my money right now?

wasting your money, and possibly damaging your body.

Personally not a fan of fat burners, for no other reason than they make me feel funny :p

I do see the benefit of them though, my pre workout has Yohimbine in it and that is some what a fat burner.

I reckon at this stage though, focus on what you are eating, drink looots of water and be as active as possible, when possible :)

Also weigh yourself weekly or biweekly as your weight will go up and down from day to day, this might discourage you.

Well you're at the right place. MyBB is the place where most forumites get to:

Fly off the handle
Jump to conclusions
Skip the facts
Carry things too far
Dodge responsibility
Duck the trolls
Push their luck.

We'll have you in shape in NO TIME !

well aren't you just very motivating...

Use MyFitnessPal and log everything you eat. Make sure you stick to your caloric deficit.
Weigh yourself once a week in similar circumstances.
Take progress pics and compare them when motivation gets low.

I personally would argue that weight loss is simple, but not always easy.

It is easy, unless you are not really wanting to lose weight. When you are motivated enough anything is easy.

I have MFP but honestly , I'm not eating enough calories.. Being a newbie to the whole lifestyle you tend to think the more you eat you surely wont be loosing so you keep your food minimal ( yes , I know this is totally incorrect).
Note this is why I started the thread , for advice on what exactly I should be eating to keep myself healthy , full and yet still loose weight.

That's simply not true.
Motivation has nothing to do with how hard or easy something is.
It has to do with how much #$%@ you are going to put up with before quitting.

As for the OP, good luck. My wife went through the same with our little one's birth, and she's still fighting off some of the "baby fat". Whatever and however you end up going about it, I wish you all the best!!

Thanks a lot, I know it will take time but starting somewhere is better than not starting at all..:D

If you're looking to lose waist size, I've found that lunges with weights cut me down fast.

I'm a guy and started gymming a bit more seriously for 45mins a day 3 days a week in the last 2 months. Aim is just to be fit and get some muscle definition so I only do weights. My weight has stayed the same at 80kg but I've gone from size 34 to size 32 in just a month. Didn't really want to lose the waist size because my pants are getting too loose now.

About the lunges, it is one of the exercises I never used to do before. It's what cut me down around the waist I believe.

On a serious note, Phedra Cut XT. What is your take on this?

Calorie deficit (200-300 what you'd need to maintain your current weight). Intermittent Fasting(Fasting period of 16 hours, 8 hour eating window). Keep low carbs (max 40g, per day), high protein. Drink a lot of water.

Also, have a cheat meal (day if you really want), once a week, it helps kick start your metabolism again, like you can have a burger and a desert, whatever you really want. Don't go too crazy though.

Do your cardio in a Fasted state, i.e. as you wake up. HIIT Cardio preferred. Weight training at night, with 20-30min light cardio AFTER weight training, keeping your heart rate around 130.

If you're going to take a fat burn, anything over the counter (ie, legal) isn't worth it as they aren't that strong and normally a waste of money. Also, it's kind of a short cut, at your weight you shouldn't need a fat burner because you'll likely just put the weight back on when you stop.
