Just really hoping one day I can come here and find just positive remarks. Dave, I am not an ISP worker so I really have no idea what it entails to run one, but in this case, could you explain why these issues with ports and certain services not working are taking so long? I really would have thought it was a matter of just opening certain ports and giving them higher priority than others? Obviously not, as it would be fixed by now.
What I always fear with the cheap ISP's is due the high cost of bw in SA, their contention ratio's are so shot. So they end up juggling with really complicated filter rules to try and get the most out of their total pool of bandwidth, when really they don't actually have enough to cope with a proper uncapped/unlimited service :-(
