Haha - was wondering this myself. Especially in Europe where some countries are introducing anti-piracy laws. Solution = just connect to a neighbouring countries ISP

On the MILD testing package ..... 25 Kb/s ....
Like Jamie in Mythbusters would say "Yeah well that's not good".
If you want more speed buy a bigger package .... :twisted:

Helping with testing ... and hoping that Dave and Co sort out whatever needs to be tested.
On a few other ISP's as well ... Openweb, AXXESS, Afrihost, but why?

Nope, not possible. When you dial in, your account goes through Telkom.... local-only. This works like this in every country.

My bad - Of course when it bursts I get round about 50 Kb/s or slightly more.

In my case, 20 connections and 4MB line, 400KB/s average

it doesnt have to be R80 per month. Depending on speed of your line, you could opt for a once off package - for e.g. $25 (or R 200) for 180g - never expires and no time limit. Once you finish that, buy another.
Works for me as I have a 384 line.
I am only getting 5kbs with astraweb
check your line...or get DC to check your account. When I used my DC acct last month I got an average of +- 30 - 35 kbs
I used my credit card.
On my 384 line, with my Afrihost acct - I got close to 40kbs. Sorry 40KB/s

Correction here - on the unlimited plans it is 20.
On the pay by download - it is 50 connections
