My DC Account is working again and is flying. Getting between 35-40KB/s, I don't believe it will last too long but it is always nice to see.

DC has done it again! Awesomeness again! Except rapidshare seems to go at dial up speed still  Torrents aren't working yet but HTTP is hOt well semi hot to luke warm :p

Speeds:

HTTP Single: 29.4kB/s max
HTTP Mutli threaded: 32kB/s and does burst :D
Torrents: Dead
IM: Working agian - yip it died for a hour or so
Browsing: Still perfect
Audio streaming: Perfect
Video streaming: Quite close to perfect ;)

DC is finally starting to look great again, let's hope it lasts :)

Mine is worse than ever now. 4kBs max..........*sigh* can't we all EVER have it working at the same time?

This is crazy, was getting good speeds(30-40KB/s) and now it's struggling to get to 10KB/s.

I've been getting an average of 8KB/s for the past 3 hours now with Rapidshare and 28-36KB/s with normal HTTP downloads.

Is DigiChilli shaping Rapidshare?

I can't believe I'm missing the 20KB/s cap.

DC has just knocked me off again.

I had to reboot and then it was dead again. The exact same graph as I've posted showing the pattern when it logs in but is dead, like yesterday...

In fact, it saves me typing...it's identical to yesterday...

It loads the MyBB page to 34% very slowly, then starts all over again, getting to 14%, then hangs.

The MyConnection PC tests are also still the exact same pattern...It simply dies after a great start...

6PM - http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php?photo=14569&cat=500

1AM - http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php?photo=14570&cat=500

It's uncanny how similar the tests look, to the tests of telkom from the 5th, when telkom was broken...Look at the pics on the right, below these...

Ditto. Me and you probably share the same virtual pipe.

Probab(and unfortunate)ly. Things are *okay* again now though, and by that I mean downloads hovering above and below the 20kBs mark but still well away from that 32kB sweet spot.

http not too bad, torrents not too bad depending on seed uploaod speed but I am also trying to do a world update on Gentoo which is an FTP connection to IS's ftp servers and it's either so slow it aint moving or times out all together. I have done a world update before since I've been with DC and I didnt have this speed issue then. Ive stopped all other traffic on my connection and ftp still times out

Is there a problem at DC - yesterday and today my d/l speeds are the worst they have been for a while?

Morning All

Speeds seem to have slow down considerably. My speeds are stuck between 19kB/s & 27kB/s max. Everything is working except Torrents, Rapidshare and megaupload. Seeing as it's nearly half the month already here is my stats so far:

Uploaded: 1 104 288 260
Downloaded: 24 249 454 676
Total Combined: 25 353 742 936

I'm averaging about 2 gigs a day now so I guess I can't really complain. If I get another 25 gigs for the rest of the month then I'd say 50 gigs for R300 is not too shabby at all - though it's only half of what you should be able to get but still it's not bad :)

Is there a problem at DC - yesterday and today my d/l speeds are the worst they have been for a while?

Last night I had a slow connection and noticed the IP I was given after reconnecting was the slow one, so I had did a little experiment to confirm my theory ;)

Step 1) Connect to DC then run>cmd>ipconfig /release (repairing the windows connection straight afterwards :p)
Step 2) Disconnect from the net reboot the router by unplugging it and leaving it off for 30 seconds and restarting pc for good luck. :whistling:
Step 3) Once ready I connected to DC then ran CMD again and low and behold I got back my faster IP. :D

After that I was getting great speeds again (till sometime this morning). What I believe is going on is that everyone is given 2 IP's and it seems when 1 is fast the other 1 is slow. I could be completely wrong here or just extremely lucky, but either way DC still has a lot of work to do. :)
