Connection is dead in the water for me right now..............although with all the shaping I don't suppose much could be done when it was up anyway *nostalgic tear of the days when it actually was a good product*
 
Well after what I just heard I'm definately moving away from DC.

Phoned DC now due to the fact it's down but was told there isn't a problem. Then asked about why is the speeds so bad on spicy etc. To cut a short story shorter the end result is that the spicy package is what Axxess Just Surf package is. Just for browsing, email and completely light downloading.

Basically it's either take the mild package or you suffer the world class shaper. Sigh they said they were going to send out emails to notify everyone, but do we really expect them to do that? :o

Going to try Openweb Uncapped Gold - will post updates of speeds etc.

Bleh im on the mild package, and the time it takes to open a website one needs to look on a calendar, it's completely unusable. They have no f... clue what they are doing.

+1 moving away...It gives me severe headaches when i work on slow internet...I cannot stand it anymore...

I'm thinking about signing up with MWEB 384 Uncapped, does anybody know if I sign up now would I only pay for the remainder of the month or the full month?
 
Probably will switch to Mweb Uncapped 384 here too, although the Internet Addict account. It's pricy (cheaper than Openweb unshaped though) but the same price as mild and at least I'm guaranteed unshaped access.

Now if only I could get a remotely functioning DC connection for the remainder of this month.

I am now unable to open any website. Brilliant

Read somewhere in an openweb thread that the people getting bout 70gigs on the openweb standard Uncapped "not lite" so maybe worth trying that first and then move up to Gold if it doesn't work out

how much is anyone willing to bet that they won't get back to me regarding closing my account. Phoned them and the "VERY" helpfull support guy said he will get back to me once he spoke to accounts department.

Ok seriously WTF moment. News servers is also suddenly working even one that didn't want to connect with them for the last 2 months. Torrents is also running full speed.
