DigiChilli January Status and feedback

I have never had a disconnect, very strange. DO you log in via router or pc?
 
Very very strange, I also use my router (never tried pc, as my netgear does not work all that well in bridged mode), and like I said have not been disconnected once (don't know if it happens during the day, or while I'm sleeping at night)
 
It has been disconnecting every six hours on the dot for ages with me, just pointing it out, not complaining. :p

This issue with Single thread downloads, what is the story with that. It is unbearably slow to try download something via any other way than a download manager.

Some sites don't allow multiple threads so I can only get about 4kb/s on single thread downloads. Is there no easy quick solution surely to sorting this out.

Anyone else agree with this ?

I am also having the same problem. My download manager seems to be downloading at an ok pace (around 15 - 20 K, with mutliple connections) but the games I purchased at GOG and I am downloading using their manager seem to never download at faster than 4K-5K, even with nothing else running.

While I was with Axxess the GOG Downloader would reach around 10-15k even with browser and other downloads running, so it isn't GOG...

it means you can download one file from lots of different servers, effectively making downloading a file much faster
 
yes download managers normally do it if the dowloading site allows it. most do, but some does not.
 
http is dead whole day. seems that torrents and http has switched sides :)
 
I would love to know what Dave and co are actually doing. Info has really dried up and the hours continue to tick by.

If they are not here then lets hope they are working hard to fix things, and when i say fix, i mean fix things for good.

I guess at the moment their network is very much in flux. As soon as things settle down on their end the only problems should be when the upstream guys mess up, which seems to occur with amzing regularity :wtf:

HTTP slow most of the time 40kbps
torrents also slow 1-2KBps

Dave any news on browsing???
 
Astraweb is full speed again. I hope it stays like that for a few hours because ive been trying to get a particular file for 2 days now.
