Or uhm, 4mb users should use the extra hot package
Extra hot price tag on that as well - I pay enough for my line anyways so there shouldnt be a difference as to what uncapped service is provided by the ISP ... my opinion anyway.
If i can get 100 kbps during the day and 4 or 8 meg full afterhours I will be willing to pay R1000 for 2 concurrent connections.

If I use the Openweb Half month uncapped option I can download over 260 GB a month for R650 more or less.
Same applies with AXXESS @ R999
DC is a bit too expensive for what you're getting and should perhaps restructure their packages.
Unfortunately its not happening like that. Currently there are 3 companies using seacom. Afrihost, Screamer and Digichilli.
Afrihost, you can only buy capped accounts, so they know how much bandwidth is used (roughly) currently, most users turn to there accounts as its so stable
Screamer, screamer actually sells uncapped accounts based on line speed, so 384 pays less than 4mb. And from what some users have reported on here, they are getting a stable service (not so sure though), and they actually stop signups, to get more bandwidth
DC, the only company offering linespeed on a R300 account, and currently, the company getting ripped to shreds, because of speeds below the promised minimum.
See the pattern emerging. Outside the seacom providers, the only other uncapped account that offers line speed (after hours), is IS uncapped and uncapped express, and they are close to a thousand bucks.
So how many 4mb line users do you think are sitting on R300 package? And am quick to complain when they don't get minimum speeds, and I tell you, there are a lot more outside the mybb borders.
If you are on a 4mb line, good for you, you clearly have more money than me, but don't complain if everyone is throttled just so that everyone can get a piece of the pie
EDIT:
Oh and I forgot SAOL, and they only give uncapped on a 384 line (their own)
I can't even email you!!!!

I dont mind getting 384 speeds on my line ... dont get me wrong ...
Not complaining simply mentioning the need for more speed and having uncapped at a resonable price tag and the restructuring of current packages within the DC domain. I would love for Dave and Co to succeed. 384 is sweet provided that you are getting the speed as promised. Same goes for burst ... I have seen some bursting nothing serious and not willing to write home about it.
Will stick it out ... afterall give the guys a break - they are really trying to make this work.
Restructure the 256k package to 384k. I would love to know why they went for 256k

Whats your speeds on astraweb? Mine used to be between 32kB/s and 41kB/s. Nowadays it does not even go past 22kB/sHave to agree with you on that, I defintely think Dave and co, should look at their offering, if only from a sustainable point of view. That being said, love my DC account, my astraweb is purring on my 384 line, and I am getting better speeds that I did with my IS uncapped express
