DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Well i'm not with DC anymore, but they seem to have stepped up their "customer relations" area. They're responding on Hellopeter AND i've actually received a phone call from them about sorting out my problems . Unfortunately all my issues dates back to December 2009, and i since moved on...but i guess it gives me hope for the future.

This is their reply to all 8 complaints on hellopeter....

Hello [insert name],

My Name is Darren Smith and I am the Managing Director of DigiChilli.
I am sorry your experience with us has not been a good one.
It is true that since December we have had a number of network and service related issues. Many of these were out of our control, not that I expect that our valued customers should care about this.

Our team has been working around the clock (literally) with our service providers to assess and resolve the problems.
This has been compounded by the availability of resources and equipment over the silly season.
We have doubled the capacity on the call centre and have also upgraded the platforms we use.

I know this does not resolve or make up for your experience.

Please let me know what we can do to help resolve / alleviate your frustrations. If it is a refund you seek, then we have a rapid refund policy in place.

What I can guarantee is that the DigiChilli promise of affordable, uncapped ADSL is being delivered as we speak, and we thank you for your tolerance.

Warm regards
DigiChilli

*edit*

ok it differs slightly between some of them but for the most part its the same

HTTP is perfect.

International torrents, however, still won't come in faster than 5KB/s

Gaming is even worse than torrents. I can't log into WoW.
All my Source games have a latency of 400+ (to LOCAL servers).

The whole reason I got DC is because I'm chewing through more than 7GBs a month in playing games onine.

I'm using the Spicy package, on a 384 line.

*EDIT*
Okay, scratch the latency thing. I'm getting 50+ now.

Dark have you tried any other games? And would u say that the latency has become better for gaming? I mainly play wow and BF2 but would like to start playing other games aswell if DC would be viable....

Browsing speeds are still below par (0.12 mb/s according to speedtest), package speed would be 0.25 and line speed 0.34.

The only games I've tried online are:
L4D: Works pretty good. I'm presuming all other Source games will, too.
WoW: Cannot even log in. I sometimes get to the character selection, but I disconnect when logging in.
Rappelz: I can log in, but I have 60 second lag.
Dungeons and Dragons Online: Seems to be working fine.

I will be installing BF2 and giving that a try later this evening.
I haven't really bothered trying to play games online at the moment, though.

Just off topic here, Does anyone know how long it will take to index about 2TB of data on DC++ :wtf:

It took me about 45 minutes to undex 128GB worth os stuff...
I think you'd best just leave your PC on overnight :(

I have a 384 line so my experience my not apply.

Ran the following last night at the same time.

Bittorrent (D/U) (5-9/1-4)

DC++ (D/U) (20-30/1-10)

Did some light browsing as well which was admittedly a bit slow with the other things running.

I basically ran my line at close to full capacity from 8pm till 12pm. I don't know what the speeds are in from 8am to 8pm a I am then at work, but my PC at home is downloading 24/7.

I presume those Torrents are international correct? I was also getting 9KB/s this morning before work on torrents. But my line is 4096 line. Also international torrents... Haven't tried DC++ since last week...
