DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Can't download from Rapidshare at the moment, it looks like DC has blocked Rapidshare again.
Anybody else having problems with Rapidshare at the moment?

Edit: Okay, Rapidshare is downloading again.

Mine has now been dead for over 24 hours, this is the first time it has been dead for this long in the 2 months I have been with them. I can handle slow, but completely dead for this long is getting dumb.
 
has anyone actually had success when they can't log in to call customer service, send emails or pm andre or dave? Just wondering if that is a waste of my time or not.

Ave at 24k/s would give about 86meg an hour, which is about 2gb a day. Right?

How can you, on the 9th of the month, be pushing 30gb?

I'm on the same R300 package with a 4meg line and a paid rapidshare account.
I've only just hit 13gb now.
When I'm downloading it says ave of about 22k/s.

I'm going to assume you guys have been having some serious bursting.

Same crappy speeds here and also just hit the 13GB mark today and as time goes by I really am endlessly suspicious that this 20-25kBs barrier is either intentional or a quirk of their "(3rd)world-class shaper".
 
I'm thinking that part of that 30gb is from seeding the torrents.
I remember last month I downloaded using utorrent, and the uploading speed was much higher than downloading.

When I use rapidshare, it's just straight downloading, no uploading.

So maybe when we talk about how much we've done so far, we exclude the upload part, or maybe specify each seperately.

Just a thought.

Around the same as me then.
Execpt, when I talk about this month, I mean Feb.
So you've got about 7gb more than me, but also 2 days extra worth of downloading.
Close enough.

Im not getting more than 10kb/s per torrent,If I only have 1 torrent running i cant get more than 10kb/s out!

2 torrents= 20 kb/s

can it be a utorrent setting or is this digichilli?
please help.

right click on the torrent --> properties--> check the max upload (set it to 1 on all torrents) and make sure downloads are on 0

This helps me, but torrents needs to be well seeded and have enough peers 50+

Dude DC is weird, sometimes i get:

Downloads
5kB/s torrent
10kB/s torrent
0.6kB/s torrent

and other times

35kB/s
20kB/s
5kB/s

????????????????????????????

I'm stuck on 16kB/s, now I know where my bandwidth went. Give it back :cry: lol

Seems even DC goes to sleep now :)
 
how the **** am i suppose to download at 1.2kb/s

Maybe its time to switch to another isp,but who?

WOW, just called customer service to see why my account was not authenticating told I had to resubmit my credit card details. Then he was kind enough to inform me that the credit card details page is INSECURE!!! The page I entered my credit card info into is an insecure site. And so he recommended I not use it even though it is the only option for me because payment must be made the same way each time. I am shocked, I have never in my life come across a legitimate company that uses an insecure site for credit card processing. I even told the rep that I have never come across a more incompetent and shady company in my life and he agreed with me. I felt sorry for the poor bloke that has no options but to work for them. My time with DC is over. I can't support shady business practices.
