I happily paid my subscription with digichilli for the month of February today. I cant see what people are complaining about. I get constant 40KBs download and 20KBs upload with digichilli. I have down/uploaded just about 32GB for the month so far and i can not complain about anything other than the frequent disconnects.

Digichilli, is a cheap ISP, if you want a cheap service go with them, but dont expect a R1000 service for R300.

The problem is the rest of us aren't getting this "constant 40kBs" you speak of. Some of us used to but ever since they implemented some changes we've been stuck at half that.

My DC is not working at all. May as well be running a 14.4kbps modem. Took five minutes to load myadsl.co.za front page. Phoned support and asked if they were having problems. Person I spoke to didn't know. She said one of the technical guys would call me. Well nothing. I'm not impressed even Screamer was better before the email smtp server went to pot. Think I'm going to afrihost and I'm staying there until someone releases an uncapped product that is actually reliable.

I had quite good bursts there for a few minutes, it was like waking up and realising it's christmas again but when it went away it was like waking up and remembering it was all just a bad dream

Though right now I am still getting 25kB/s average now, but it just feels like Mediafire is being badly shaped :erm: With so many people cancelling I expect there to be a lot of bandwidth clearing up and I've got plenty of things queued up ;)

So to recap speeds:

HTTP Single: 28kB/s max (from rapidshare free user download :D)
HTTP Multi threaded: 25kB/s-30kB/s max burst ( from mediafire with 8 connections )
Torrents: What torrents I think their extinct :wtf:
Audio Streaming: Perfect
Video Streaming: Better than before
IM: Works like a charm
Browsing: Actually very good tho downloading does strain it somewhat

Has anyone tried local/international gaming? Would love to know how that is doing :) BTW Where'd Lightscribe go?

If DC keeps this up they might just succeed :D

Ja. I have to admit that over the last few days things have been good. If things continue in this way I might be tempted to stay.

Sainet's special is looking more special - especially if they stay up and speeds are consistent most of the time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Sainet's deal almost exactly like SAOL's Simply Uncapped? If you don't take the whole R50 extra to have your line through them then it still is more expensive at R449? R150 is a lot for most people  It is great to see new uncapped offerings coming to the market though and I got a sneaky suspicion that it won't be the last :D

Speeds through DC are definately improving, but I have the feeling it's because so many people are leaving and clearing up the congested network :erm: DC should stop signing up any new clients until their network is 100%. Maybe it's just me or isn't that a good idea? You know let's rather have a 100% network and have great reviews from the clients you do have than have crap reviews you have at the moment with the over subscription  Hey SAOL stopped signing people up when they reached their limit if I'm nit mistaken :p

Speeds:

HTTP Single: 25kB/s
HTTP Multi thread: 29kB/s (max burst right now)
Torrents: Not even gonna bother....
Browsing: Awesome
Audio streaming: Awsomer
Video Streaming: Pretty darn good considering last week
IM: Perfect
Gaming: No idea

DC keep doing what you're doing coz day by day you seem to get better :) and I hope it continues...
