Still slow.

I've had one good morning with DigiChilli, that's it.

Not good enough in my opinion.

You can ban me for an hour or so while I go run. :p

Dave isn't there someway you guys and Afrihost could compare settings or whatever it is. Because I'm downloading off of steam at 42KB/s with my Afrihost account.

Better yet - Try poaching some of their technical staff.

*sighs* Everything but HTTP is shaped into oblivion right now. A simple login to an IRC server takes 2.5 minutes to complete, and it only transfers 40-50 packets in total. I can load a web page faster than that. HTTPS is completely dead for me. I really hope this gets sorted out soon, video streaming is a complete no-go.

Wonder if it's going to be worth the cost of the electricity to keep my machine running for torrents while I am away this week.

If you can get 1kb/s on screamer then you should go for that rather. DC you'll be getting about 0.1kb/s :wtf: Change your browser settings to show text only on websites that should get those pages open :erm:

pfft

this thread is a prime example of how NOT to provide broadband internet

you might aswell have a 56k dial up connection

are all you DC subscribers really going to continue handing over your money every month to an incompetent ISP?

International slow on Afrihost?

Not at all. I'm downloading still from steam at 42KB/s for the 3rd day. :crying: Should be finnished soon. How people think a 3 gig cap is good enough when someone releases a 10 gig game I don't know.

Okay on a serious note:
Http - barely, mostly doesn't work
torrents - 0kb/s
news server - 0kb/s
steam - 0kb/s doesn't connect
gtalk/msn/skype - doesn't connect

I think everything is dead...... last one out please switch off the lights :(

Maybe DC should consider a rolling 5/10 day cap. Who's doing that? Axxess? Sounds like a much better way at controlling "excessive use" than banning :).

Initially you can base the cap on what you "legally" can get with your package, i.e. on 264kbps you will only get +-2.7GB per 24 hours ...so a good rolling 10 day cap would be 27GB [for that package]. So if you're not circumventing some flaw in the system, you will never hit the cap.
