Digital Dzonga Advisory Council dissolved

Conflict of interest? They probably couldn't decide on how much each of the members would profit from this whole farce.

April Fool's Joke, right? Nyanda concerned about "possible conflict of interest"

the fact that most members are employed by organisations that have interests, directly or indirectly, in the value chain of the migration process".

In other words, replace them with new people that have his interests, directly or indirectly, in the value chain of the migration process.

Assuming this has nothing to do with another of the myriad of April Fool's pranks, then ... "Pot! meet Kettle!" ;)

I get the feeling that this guy really has only one action on his plate per month. so that's it... his work for April is now done. Don't expect to see anything else from the DoC until May.

The only 'conflict' of interest he'll be interested in is his own.

My thoughts exactly: he arrived too late to get his appropriate share, so now they will have to start again from scratch.

BTW, I feel that April Fool's jokes shouldn't be allowed on MyBB. With South Africa's clowns literally anything is possible, so how do we differentiate ?

Ok, I don't know anything about the politics behind this, but I've been watching DTT since they started transmissions. They are still having a lot of technical problems. The signal goes dead from time to time and sometimes individual channels just die. The technicians also don't seem to work after hours. If the signal goes out on Friday afternoon they don't fix it till Monday morning. I know these are supposed to be test transmissions, but they've had a year and a half to work on it, surely it should be working properly by now?

He has to get rid of them so that he can get the biggest cut out of this next gravy train.
How many millions has he already siphoned off with illegal tender processes, etcetera...
Some guy in the Northern provinces, first name goes with Caesar, built some roads for Millions, and now they are falling to pieces, a few months after they were built. I wonder why?

Hi, I´m new here and just want to know what the DTV transition situation is doing in South Africa: Please tell me what is the real game behing these bad delay news I see here and than.
The test transmission is being done with which standard? DVB-T?
Do you think South Africa might choose another world standard?
How about midleware? Is South Africa still to declare formaly DVB-T or another standard? Thanks..............

The reason for the delay is lack of a gravy train ticket for certain members.. so that has to be rectified it seems.

SA is still not sure on what exact standard will be used from what I know.
