Morning

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 updated to Android 9.

I always have Discovery App connected to my watch and Samsung Health but for the last month or so the app keeps on crashing? I've logged calls with Discovery to no avail as well as checking the net for info to this issue. I've also tested with 3 other Android phones as well as an iPhone 7, the iPhone works without any issues but the all Android devices are casing the same issue on my account. From there I also tested my wife's account (Discovery and Samsung as well as the iPhone) and on all Android devices I get the same result, again the iPhone just works.

I've also done the usual including cache clears, app reloads and even reset my phone to factory and started over again. I really need this to work for the Vitality part of it, unless I just move over to Apple again...so expensive...

Any idea of what else I can do?

Thanks all and have a great day!

Have you tried enabling developer options and toggling various options with particular focus on animation settings?

Hi

I cant say that I have - I presume you are referring to the the developer mode on the Android itself?

I'll have a look and advise on my findings.

Thanks!

Seems like the Discovery app is causing some internal error and force closes. Have you removed/uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it? Sometimes this happens with other apps as well, because of the major framework changes. ( OS upgrade, etc )

Yes in your Android phone settings like so:

It may be worth a try as you have even tried a factory reset. I recall when one of the local banking apps wasn't playing nice with some Samsung phones they recommended going into those developer options to change some settings which would prevent the app crashing on those models. Until the app developer comes up with a fix for your phone it may be worth a shot.

Morning - I've tried the suggested but still no luck, also there are not a lot of changes to be made for animation settings but will continue testing and updating, thanks!
