I have never signed up for Discovery Banking but do have a Discovery CC so presume this is part of the migration?

Yeah, got the same email last week and they have tried to call me once or twice but I've been in meetings so I've missed the calls. Not keen to move over to be honest but it seems like it's not optional with the way the gym booster etc. are going :(

They can move my Discovery CC but I have no reason to move anything else to them.

Just join the bank ;)

So I was fooling around with the colour change functionality this morning. Been trying to downgrade to platinum but app won’t allow it. I ended up adding a zero to my salary to see what happens and got this. So it would seem the elusive purple card is not ‘by invite only’. Hefty fees though, you’d have to use airport lounges a lot for this to make sense.

Made my salary 1 million a month still did not get the option. Through only have a black card, not the full package.

Wow no I don’t earn that much. I fiddled a bit now and the lowest income I get offered purple on is R210000pm. You probably need a full suite to get the offer.

That explains it

seems like you need the full banking suite to upgrade or downgrade. 1mil = nothing, R10 = nothing.

I just have the platinum cc and the free savings account,I changed my income to a longer amount and it doesn't show a downgrade to gold available,or where do I go to downgrade my cc?

I have been trying to downgrade since there option was "available" with no luck. Currently on platinum CC + free savings account. If I raise my income, the option for an upgrade to black becomes available, but no matter how low my income, I don't get the option to downgrade.

Maybe try now? Mine wasn’t available yesterday but it is now... Now the question: do I downgrade to platinum or stay on black?

I personally think the black is only perfect if you have the iphone benefit, as for spending its just a nuisance.

I thought so too, but the price difference between the two colours is more than the iPhone savings. I never use airport lounges and have cards with other banks that allow me access anyway. Ended up moving to platinum. Very straightforward process...

Im trying to work out if I should downgrade my CC from Platinum to Gold, my average spend is about R7000pm so the cash back on either card is about the same? and the Dmiles is also 20 per R1 earn rate?whether its Gold or Platinum(im on Diamond Money status) is that correct?

They can move my Discovery CC but I have no reason to move anything else to them.

I got the phone call today, they tried to sign me up for the full banking package at R240/month, I am not sure what that involves but I told them I was not interested. I will look at moving my Discovery CC but even then my monthly fees go up.

Who else is in the same situation and what are your thoughts?

Anyone else with missing transactions in Vitality Money goal (all transactions after 12PM yesterday - 6th and all transaction today) ?
