I just have the platinum cc and the free savings account,I changed my income to a longer amount and it doesn't show a downgrade to gold available,or where do I go to downgrade my cc?

I have been trying to downgrade since there option was "available" with no luck. Currently on platinum CC + free savings account. If I raise my income, the option for an upgrade to black becomes available, but no matter how low my income, I don't get the option to downgrade.

I personally think the black is only perfect if you have the iphone benefit, as for spending its just a nuisance.

I thought so too, but the price difference between the two colours is more than the iPhone savings. I never use airport lounges and have cards with other banks that allow me access anyway. Ended up moving to platinum. Very straightforward process...

Im trying to work out if I should downgrade my CC from Platinum to Gold, my average spend is about R7000pm so the cash back on either card is about the same? and the Dmiles is also 20 per R1 earn rate?whether its Gold or Platinum(im on Diamond Money status) is that correct?

They can move my Discovery CC but I have no reason to move anything else to them.

I got the phone call today, they tried to sign me up for the full banking package at R240/month, I am not sure what that involves but I told them I was not interested. I will look at moving my Discovery CC but even then my monthly fees go up.

Who else is in the same situation and what are your thoughts?

From the website it seems like you don't get miles on Gold unless you have the full suite. Maybe someone with just a Gold credit card can confirm.

The earn rate on Gold card only and Gold full suite is the same therefore they include both in the same column (i.e. Card and full banking suite according to the column header). You should still earn miles on Gold card only

Funny, I just got off the phone with them (Vitality Money, not Bank) and the consultant wasn't aware of the problem.

I mentioned that several people on here are having the same problem and she logged a query with the systems team for me. She said I should expect a 3-5 day wait before getting feedback though. I asked what would happen if Friday comes and my transactions don't reflect yet and she advised that they would be backdated so I won't get penalised with the iPhone benefit etc.

Separate issue, I downgraded from a black suite to a platinum suite but my weekly goal is still out of 25 points. They're looking into that too, just in case anyone has the same problem.

It works properly at an ATM, however it took the money from my credit card account at PNP. The call centre lady said you can't choose an account at PNP only at an ATM. When I told her to fix this as I'm not paying interest on the money she asked a supervisor who says it actually should have worked correctly. They now think it's an issue at the specific PNP and are investigating. The joys of loadshedding (all the ATMs were off).

I’ve never tried withdrawing with my credit card for precisely this reason. I ordered a debit card for my transaction account. Bit of a schlep with two cards but I almost never do withdrawals so not a big deal for me.

Does anyone know where we can see the monthly spend requirement as well as our current spend. i.e. How far to go to reach the minimum spend for the fuel benefit to kick in? I see I'm on 0% now but it was higher a month or two ago.
