Discovery Bank

Hopefully you have medical aid with them as you will need it pretty soon
Lol. I do. Rather ironic though... Gonna lose points from my health check in Jan if my blood pressure is out of range but the reason it’s out of range is because I’m not getting my money points.

Money goal is stuck again since this morning... Discovery is starting to affect my blood pressure.
Mine too, yesterday they reflected straight away, but yes today nothing. Ironically yesterday I completed my goal 20/20 so intitially I thought they not carrying over anymore ,as Anything over my 20 stopped being carried over

I hope they haven't stopped the carry over to the following week of you've allready reached your weekly goal

They haven’t. I’ve actually made my goal, I’m sitting at 47.5/25... I wanted to get to 50 and “achieve my goal a week in advance” if that makes sense.

I top up my Amazon account $3.50 at a time... “Saving” for a new router. Discovery’s fraud department has phoned me a couple of times already because it looks dodgy.

Weird I swipe my yoco card machine quite a few times a week for R50 each time. No calls yet

Nice. The Yoco route seemed complicated to me, I don’t want to have to explain my ‘earnings’ to SARS. But the ones outstanding from today are legitimate Woolies and pet shop purchases.

Quick q , normally I pay my easi pay municipality account at pick n pay every month,a full amount I owe. If I were to go to pick n pay and instead of paying the full amount just ask them to pay X amount several times a week ,or do I have to pay the full amount at rh teller?

No you don’t have to pay the full amount. Easiest is get a Masterpass app or EasyPay app and pay small amounts from your phone.

Question with the ’Savings to diamond’. (I’m on gold now)

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but every time I transfer the specified amount into my Vitality Savings account from the transactional account, that number increases? (Previously when I transferred to the vitality savings account that number went down.)

For example my ‘Savings to diamond’ was around R1.5k today, I then transferred 8K into my vitality savings account from my transactional account... however my ‘Savings to diamond’ then INCREASED to around R3.5k...... I was confused... so I then did another transfer for that exact amount into my vitality savings from my transactional account of the around R3.5k as it requested.....but again my ’Savings to diamond’ increased now to around R5k?!?!

Am I doing something wrong, or is something wrong on discovery Banks side?

appreciate the clarity

In order to achieve a Diamond status, you need to be on Gold status and have a certain amount of savings in your Discovery Bank accounts. The amount of savings you need to have in the account depends on your annual income:
Your annual incomeSavings you need for Diamond status
Less than R350 000R20 000
Between R350 000 and R850 000R45 000
More than R850 000R100 000

Ah thank you. I think there was an earlier error in my savings to diamond number Which caused my confusion.
The number it’s giving me now in conjunction with the current savings adds up to the above.

Thanks

Did anyone else get a fuel reward from the bank on the 12th/13th that makes no sense?

I got R11, seems to be a fix of a previous underpayment. At a 15% rewards level this is R73.33 worth of fuel purchased ( must be at least 15 years ago when I last put in such a small amount).

Yes, also got R11

But getting them to explain that amount is going to be such a mission
