Either than free popcorn at the movies, I'll be hoarding my Miles

1000 points to get R100 voucher. So that's a terrible change to the rewards program. At 125 minimum per goal, it takes maximum 8 goals to get R100 off. Previously it would take 4 goals max.

I agree. We are getting shafted by Discovery. If 1000 miles gives us a R100 voucher, then I can assume for rewards purposes for the most part that 10 miles = 1 rand. And previously, 100 points gave us the same R100 voucher.

Previously, one gameboard tile would give us at minimum 25 points (R25). Now, we get 100 miles (R10) per goal and minimum 50 miles (R5) per tile, so minimum 150 miles (R15). This is crap

And before the gameboard we were getting a smoothie every week, roughly R45 (one goal achieved).

I'm.still missing my transactions for the 4 Jan that did not add towards my weekly goal, sent them a.query over a week ago, so now I may miss my goal

That's not to bad. Any possibility of a short list of what one needs to get around 2k a month back?

Yea black cc, diamond on money. I get about 1k back in healthy food. About 200 back in dischem. R500 back on my daily spend from my cc. R200 back for my garmin Fenix 5. R150+- for shoe booster.

Yeah it depends on which card you’re on and also whether you’re on card only or full suite. I’m currently on platinum card only but I think I should move to full suite to benefit from cash back from the gym. Also expected to get R6000 for all the healthy food, care and gear benefits but it seems that I was mistaken with the R4000 limit of each. It looks like if you are on the family vitality package then both you and your spouse need to be with Discovery Bank, otherwise the Cap is set at R2000 for each of the partners meaning you can only get R1000 back from each of them - so max of R3000 per month. If you and spouse are both discovery bank Diamond members and you spend the right amounts on each of your respective cards at the three healthy partners, then technically you should be able to get R6000 back per month, or 60,000 discovery miles. That’s just bonus DMiles. If you have shoe benefit or device benefit, Apple Watch benefit as well as HealthyDining then it could be even more. Watch this space...I’ll put up a podcast soon.

I’ve assumed too much. I’m reading more fine print and the caps are ridiculously low. I hate that they make a big fuss of 50% or 75% back on this and that and upon closer inspection it’s limited to such a low amount.
The DMiles earned for Uber could be quite good, but I’m not sure if there’s a cap yet.

you could add about R400 from petrol purchases with insure

Currently don’t use bp yet. I use engen for Ebucks. But I do need to make a switch since I can get 50% back in petrol. Plus 20% in miles.
Be careful though. Its 50% of the lowest between your points(1600 odd max) and rand spend. The max you could get will be R800.

there's a 25% from Bank that i dont know how it works. If its based on petrol spend then that would be flippen awesome.
