Not being able to see the basis for calculation of the HealthyLiving cashbacks really irks me as I am certain it is incorrect and I am not getting the full cashback due. I have sent this request to Discovery:

Since the website no longer provides the breakdown of the HealthyLiving Cashbacks please ensure that I receive a statement every month with this information. I specifically need:

For each of HealthyFood, HealthyCare, HealthyGear:

The list of transactions counted toward each cashback
The total of qualifying purchases
The percentage applied
The cashback amount

Do any of you share my pain? Please send a similar request and let's see if we can get this sorted! Alternatively, if anyone knows anyone at Discovery that can address this, please pass on their contact details. It is very difficult working through call centres and 3-5 freaking working day response times.

Thanks!

You can get sometime like this in excel. This is mine for December. It’s a mission. Only now I got a proper confirmation now that They will fix December. After they fix December I need to do November.

So were there transactions in the Excel dump that they had not taken into account or did you have to provide slips to prove that there were transactions that they hadn't picked up and were not showing in the Excel dump?

I queried in November last year, and after many exchanges and calls, I concluded there was a deliberate strategy of obfuscation.
Agreed. They are obfuscating that their systems are just not robust enough to do what they commit to doing and they are just paying out minimal amounts and relying on people's trust or laziness not to query the system.

I didn’t query the completeness of the dump. Since I don’t keep the receipts. I just recalculated on the dump to percentage of cash back ie the accuracy of their calculation. And it appears there are problems.

I guess what I can do is get a dump from pick n pay and check for completeness. Maybe I’ll do that later. You can ask too many things from discovery. I’m doing my query on a month on month basis.

That's for the old Discovery Credit days with FNB. I called them and they said that one isn't valid anymore.
Can’t be. Old card, as you say, was with FNB so an FNB SWIFT code would have applied. I think the person you spoke to is confused.

I just meant to say that DISCZAJJ can’t be the swift code for the old Discovery Card with FNB. DISCZAJJ is probably a valid code for Discovery Bank but not active yet.

The R2000 and R4000 for family limits is not the maximum cash back that you can get but rather the spend limit. By example if your cash back % on healthy food items are 25% and you buy by example R3000 worth of healthy food items you will get back R2000 x 25% if you are a single member.
