Mine is still 20 for some reason...
You have achieved next weeks goal as well!
Credit card interest is charged on total amount used , not amount oustanding .Not sure how monthly interest charges are worked out as I normally pay my full amount
But does this sound right:
My closing balance was R15134.00 on 7 march
I paid R15000 on the 23 march (before the due date.
I was charged debit interest of R228.47 on 7 April
So i short paid by R134.00 how can I be charged R228.47 of interest?
Wow okay I want aware, thanks I normally pay full amount but made a mistake this time. Okay so I get charged interest on the full amount, thanks for letting me knowCorrect it has full amount otherwise you get charged interest in full outstanding amount. This is how it works on all credit cards. Even if you pay R1 less than due amount, you pay for interest on everything.
Seriously no one?Hi all I have two questions:
1. Does the CC and the normal card both earn "miles" or only the CC?
2. Is there a base rate for earning on the black card? For example with jumping through no hopes 1 mile per R15 something like this?
Where can I find this info in more detail?
Seriously no one?
Thanks but I dont have the card yet, I need to figure out if I want one, FNB gives all this info before applying I want to know the base "earn" before I apply. Could you assist with that? It would be non partner spend. For bank info log in on Discovery’s website and go to the Bank tab
Discovery Miles is earned on CC spend
In the bank app, tap on one of your CC transactions to see the earn rate and whether you are over your earn rate threshold. Once it hits the threshold the earn rate drops down - each card colour has a different threshold.
I would suggest you get the CC as most of the benefits are only available on CC like the iphone and apple watch benefits. You get more from the cc than you would from the Transaction account only. Thanks but I dont have the card yet, I need to figure out if I want one, FNB gives all this info before applying I want to know the base "earn" before I apply. Thanks this makes sense im just trying to get the base reward percentage before applyingI would suggest you get the CC as most of the benefits are only available on CC like the iphone and apple watch benefits. You get more from the cc than you would from the Transaction account only.
You get benefits on both, but you get more on CC.
2.5% is base rate on black credit card on gold statusThanks this makes sense im just trying to get the base reward percentage before applying
this is what I was looking for thanks! useless then from banks side but thanks! On the black its Earn up to 1mile for every R15 of spend. After you reach your monthly spend threshold, all additional spend will earn at a rate of 1 Discovery Miles per R100.
