It shouldn't though. It should clear next business dayTakes about 2 days it seems
Normally payments before 3pm would clear that night, to another bank. My payment cleared at 02.08am. Seems their clearing times have just gone very late. Used to clear 7.30pm latest same day (working day of course)Same business day was normal for transfers between the same bank. Up to three days between different banks was always the norm. Not sure if that's officially changed.
I made an EFT transfer on the 24th at 12:58 and it only reflected today at 2am. There seems to be more of a delay than usual. It never used to take 2 days.I did an eft yesterday to discovery, still hasn't cleared.![]()
Tuesday wouldn't have counted, but it normal would have cleared by 7pm last night (with discovery)I made an EFT transfer on the 24th at 12:58 and it only reflected today at 2am. There seems to be more of a delay than usual. It never used to take 2 days.
Edit: I could be that Tuesday was a public holiday.
Mine is R1000What's the minimum amount needed in savings for Vitality Money to be active on a Platinum account?
Check my understanding here: The goals refer to all of your Vitality Rewards goals. (Active, Drive & Money.) There are usually 3 goals a week and in a 4 week month a total of 12 goals. (16 goals in a 5 week month.) This means you have to have all 3 products, Active-Drive&Money to fully fund the iPhone. Makes sense. If you only have 2 of these products then you will only get about 25% discount. Not worth it for me as the Drive-insurance for me is about R600 more pm with less benefits.
I have thought about it, but it is too break even for me to consider it (Break even with lower insurance and eBucks rewards on fuel). I also just got a new iPhone and the spouse has a company iPhone so no need there. When the iPhone 12 comes out I will re-consider (rumors are the iPhone 12 might have no notch and will be USB-C. That would be perfect.)Yes that sounds right.
Maybe recheck your insure costs versus expected benefits?
Our monthly Drive fuel cashback (based on driving behavior etc) for 2 cars and now the extra benefit of 15-20% cash back via the Discovery Bank card (not linked to behavior) works well for our family

*One thing you can go test for yourself (I did a test for two months in 2017) is what the actual fuel efficiency of BP fuel is. I found a difference of 8% in fuel efficiency with my car on 93 Unleaded. It wasn't a scientific test, but I did try to keep my driving behavior similar. So Engen's fuel gave me 8% better fuel consumption than BP did. When I saw that, I dropped Discovery Insure and switched everything to FNB.
What does "and qualifying' mean?Discovery Bank iPhone benefit details are out > https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/iphone-benefit

Probably this :What does "and qualifying' mean?
For me the discovery insurance for the last 2 years I get An average of R645 per month cash back (50%)Agreed - if you have eBucks and using that for fuel purchases/cashback already then Discovery Insure doesnt make sense. I dont bank with FNB
I still have a 6s and have been waiting for the exact details on the iPhone benefit (first mentioned during the initial marketing hype bank launch) before looking to upgrade
Interesting - will pay closer attention to that. We use Shell and sometimes BP and one vehicle is diesel....
