Discovery Bank

Alright makes sense.

What is the cheapest way to get someone unto vitality - I assume Life? Does car count?

For the healthyfood

Who is best to choose, Pick 'n Pay or Woolworths

Also does the miles multiplier apply only to healthy foods or general spend at pick 'n pay?

I prefer woolworths because your healthyfood card is automatically linked to your store card. so with every shop - whether you buy healthy foods or not, it will register with discovery and count towards your basket percentage. so i always make sure that at least 90% of the stuff I buy from WW is on the healthyfood list.

with pick n pay it's a separate card so i can choose when to use it - this way i won't get penalized for buying "unhealthy" food (ie full fat milk).

So I can still swipe my smartshopper card too?

Is the Healthy Food Card a seperate Card ?

For Pick n Pay it is - so you would present your smartshopper card and a healthyFood card. For Woolies it's not - you use your normal WW rewards/credit card (after activation of course).
Oh! You have to also swipe your HealthFood card?

Do you request Woolies to link their card to Discovery or vis versa

Tymebank is the best in this regard your rewards are built into your bank card so you swipe and carry just one card.

You need have her on medical aid or life insurance then can add her on vitalty profile.

Not exactly. I moved the family off Health and a month later i signed up for a life cover. They added the whole family and none of them even had any discovery product.

Till you want to buy something online and it declines or you cant read your card numbers.

I have 3 HealthFood cards. One came when I first joined with Discovery Bank but then another was also in my mail box and the third came when I upgraded my card. How do I find out or know which is the one to use?

Check the card number on Discovery’s website. Log in, then under the Vitality tab choose ‘Rewards’. Then click ‘Learn more’ under Healthy Food. Your card number is shown there.

I see they’ve done away with the Healthy Food card for PnP though. Looks like, going forward, it’s linked to your Smart Shopper card (you can link your Smart Shopper card on the same page).

Yeah I think smart shopper is now linked to your healthy food card, as the other day I did a purchase only with my smart shopper card and on the slip it part showed my healthy card number.

But question now, last time I swiped my mom's smart shopper (not linked to anything) and my healthy card, so would I still get the healthy food cash back as her smart shopper card isn't linked to anything but I did swipe my healthy food card?
