Discovery Vitality [2017]

Any idea how long the healthy gear credit takes. I bought a polar watch last week of December and credit is not reflecting. They have never sent me the healthy gear card but I phoned before to get my card number and gave it at totalsports.

PS on the shoe booster if you haven't done the fitness test is it 15% upfront and 5% per week?

Yep 15% initially, then 5% after that to a limit of 75%. So 90% essentially

Looking back on my discoverycard statements, they award it the same time as HealthyFood cashback gets awarded, around the 22nd in my case. Keep the receipt for the purchase to prove that you did your bit if they fail on their side.
 
Ok, a bit ticked off about how my Dental Check Appointment was handled. I booked for two (online) at Intercare Medical Centre. I even called back to confirm the appointment for two (my wife and I). Yet when we arrived this morning they say there's only an appointment for one. I explained that I booked for two and confirmed telephonically but nothing. I was really ticked off and had to cancel the whole thing, after all it's only 1,000 per person points (I think it's even a reduction from last year). I will reconsider later on the year of we have not reached the 90k points. Very sad given that I have been coming to the same facility since 2009, prior to that I used the Intercare Medical Centre in Cape Town (we talking almost 10 years relationship yet you get this type of treatment). I will send an official complaint for this.

Anyway, will be busy with Health Checks (+HIV); Nutrition and Fitness Assessments shortly.

you are indeed correct confirmed it on the vitality points brochure, so will need to keep using my fitbit for steps etc.

Hi Nathan. Can you confirm the heart rate was tracked and synced to Discovery from S Health? I have the exact same issue. I've tried starting the Rowing workout and the Other workout without any success.

Yes i finally got it to work. You have to log the workout as a run (remember to turn off the auto pause). I played squash for 42 minutes and got 300 points!
 
I'm struggling to get my 15k points for having achieved 4/5 of the health check results within range. They're only giving me 3/5 because they're insisting I should've signed a non-smoker declaration at the pharmacy where I did the checks. The dude who did my checks at the pharmacy says there's no form to sign; the only form to sign is for the HIV test. What do I do???

When I went to pharmacy there was a non-smokers declaration to sign. Insist on it!

Also been to clicks. Sr there printed out a form for me to sign. (Non smoking declaration )

Is there a place on their website to see if that declaration was signed/filled? I got the full 20K points which would imply that the non-smoking declaration would have been signed - or? (The points-statement shows the individual tests, but does not show the non-smoking declaration).
 
I can't get to sync my Health App with Discovery App since getting the Apple Watch. The Discovery App has full access to my Health App. I even tried reinstalling the Discovery App but still it won't sync when I try to get it to. Any ideas???

Can you explain more? So are you not getting points at all or are your points not showing?

When I press "Sync Now" the circle starts spinning and then stops without syncing any data to the Discovery App.

I've since managed to get it to sync by disabling the sharing of "Workouts" in the Apple Health app. Hope this doesn't cost me any points. IMG_0342.JPG
