Discovery Vitality [2019]

Workouts does sync for me. I am using gear s3.

I did once with a slower rider, I had pauses for 1h15m over a 4 hour ET. 1 of which included a coffee break, did not drop my avg by even 1bpm, it actually want up as after the coffee break I went out solo.

It will very much depend on what your doing as to how much or how little impact the pause will have.

There is even a known hack with the garmin chest straps, may work on other, you start recording, get up to your 80%, take it off and stop recording after 30 minutes, your avg won't change at all. It does snot factor no readings into the calc. You could do jump rope for like 2 or 3 minutes, drink beer for the rest and still get 300 points.

Doesn’t work on Apple Watch.. it only takes actual workout times.. Too clever for that hack...
 
Anyone else having a problem with the Android app, that you activate biometric login, but when you login again, it has that setting disabled, and you're unable to use the biometric login?

I've had a look but can't see where to set up Biometric login for Discovery App. I use finger print login for my FNB and EasyEquities Apps and those if I remember didn't require any setup it just kind of piggybacked on my phone fingerprint unlocking setting. I appreciate any guidance thanks

If you login to the discovery app on your phone, and go into settings, you'll see a toggle for biometric login.
 
I must, the current implementation of the biometric login doesn't work well for me. When opening app, I use fingerprint. Then it throws me to the login screen you have to type in user/password. No matter what, if I don't do that, I don't get logged in. So the biometric auth is there...just doesn't work. Works fine in other apps. Discovery is poor at coding a simple feature.
 
For me (android) it takes me to the blue login screen when running the app. I click the login button, it asks for fingerprint and then I'm in.

I log into the app and find settings. Pic1
Under settings I have 2 options, privacy settings and terms and conditions. Pic2
Under privacy settings I have a few options but none login options. Pic3

Further to my post above, I followed earlier advice and uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. So I guess it's not an old app version. I got Android 6.0.1 , marshmallow.

I checked and I have the same version of the app.. What phone do you have? I'm running Android 8.0.0.. Is your phone rooted?

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note3. I don't think my phone is rooted as I've never had the need. Why would I need to root my phone to get an app working as it's been designed to? I'll try any straightforward option but really it's not too much of a biggie to get a username and password in when I want to login

Sometimes apps disable biometric use if a phone is rooted.. That is strange, maybe the phone isn't supported.

I also have a Xiaomi, and you may have to disable Miui optimization in developer options, if you Google, this setting you see it often causes issues with third party integration (for me it was Android Auto integration, but solved after disabling this) Biometrics works fine for me

Yeah maybe the phone isn't supported however last year with the Vitality Drive promotion that all worked on this same phone, it even allows me to link an ANT+ heart rate monitor and use it with Samsung Health, so although my phone works with everything I have needed it to this small biometrics login is an issue, not a biggie though. Just would be convenient. Thanks for the replies to my query though.
 
I used to look forward to Wednesday's, when I'd get my reward. Now lately with the more regular 25 or 30 points, it's not really something to look forward to that much.. They need to switch it up again or something

Same here all I get is 25s,during vitality open I was getting larger amount,it's very rigged or I just have bad luck.
