Discovery Vitality 2020

Does anyone know what’s happening/changing on vitality this month and under level 3 lockdown.

the only information I’ve seen thus far is that the money and exercise goal is increasing, and that the miles per point has stopped on the 29th of May

...
Have they said anything about dropping annual targets at all?

Nope.. regardless of their 'plans' i've suggested this needs to be down scaled earlier this year when locked down started. I reckon 5k per 3 month period so right now members should be asking them to drop annual by 5k points. Discovery being Discovery i reckon they will only do so when there is sufficient outcry despite gym being close for months and it being a primary source for the 20k points members are to get.

I was just checking the T & Cs for the HelathGear. Could be worded the same.

Seems like it is for as long as the lockdown is in place - it does not specify the levels.

But down in the terms and conditions there is :

I’ve heard some rumors that vitality has some new developments this month regarding miles etc. But haven’t seen anything.

For each fitness point earned from 18 April to 29 May (if I have the dates right) they paid you a mile. 300 points per day meant 300 miles. It was good motivation to train daily.

Yah - 2100/week was a nice R210. Something to do since i wasn't drinking :-)

I asked on Facebook and got this reply:
"The double HealthyFood, HealthyCare and HealthyGear rewards applies to purchases made from our participating partners during this stay at home period. We will continue to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 and provide an update on this via our newsletters, social media platforms and Discovery website's 'Latest updates' page. "

So... seems it's still going on?

2.5k drop per month to me seems reasonable. I need to average 600 per week for the year to maintain Gold, and i couldnt exercise much during the first few weeks of lockdown. We can't go to gym and this pig-headed government of ours only relaxed exercise reulations yesterday :/

Why dont you watch the gym videos for points? May as well do the exercise while watching it and it can be done in your house/flat/garage wherever you have a small room or space.

are you still able to get Diamond by being on Gold for 3 years in a row?
We hit Gold for the third time however i'm now being told i need another 19000+ points to get diamond (@ people on vitality)

No.

They changed the requirements for Diamond to more points than Gold rather than consistent Gold. AFAIK its 50k points in a year for the primary member to reach Diamond. No idea about additional points for more family members though.

ah sadness.... Was so amped cos we thought we finally made it.. assuming it changed this year :(

Looks like it. I even see this banner on the Woolies website:Screenshot from 2020-06-03 13:46:21.png

I have been, most doing, it's just a hassle though for a lousy 50 pts! If i can go for a 20min jog, do pushups + skipping for the last 10 minutes and my Polar H7 plays ball then i get 200 pts.

Got a new wrist strap for my Fitbit Versa so I'll test how it monitors HR during a jog. For resistance training the Versa seems pretty useless.

Has anybody else been experiencing the issue where your discovery miles/points just randomly show 0 every now and then, then it rectifies on its own after some time? Also, my discovery miles always show 0 on the discovery bank app, but when i go to the Vitality app, it shows my actual points balance (When it does actually work)?

I've logged it with Discovery bank last week monday, still waiting for an update.

Is anyone else having issues with their shoebooster payouts. Ive not seen anything since end of March. Ive phoned them twice, each time they say they will get back to me in 5 to 7 working days, but that never happens...
