Does anyone know what types of hurdles one would have to jump through with discovery bank to increase our current healthy food benefit of 25% back to 50%?? Ideally I would prefer not to move salary bank accounts (Ebucks working wonders on fuel etc) so thinking of a discovery credit card but cant seem to find any info if this will be sufficient to influence our healthy food benefit and increase it. Any advice please?
I also wanted to get just the credit card, for the extra HealthyFood discount, so I've done some digging. The key is to get your Vitality Money status up to Diamond. There's an assessment you can do on the website to see what your Vitality Money status would be. With Diamond status and the Platinum card, you can get your cashback for HealthyFood up to 50%. The card fee is R120pm. With the lower-status Gold card, the max cashback is 40% and the fee is R75pm. So make sure the extra 10% monthly discount is worth the extra R45pm, in other words, your HealthyFood spend needs to be at least R450pm. There may be some limits and restrictions - not sure about those, but if you intend using your FNB card for eBucks, be careful - you'll probably have to move some of that spend to your Discovery card so take any lost eBucks into account as well when doing the sums. But as far as I can tell, you don't need to take out a transactional account at all in order to get increased cashback percentages. This document may help.

Any idea when the healthy food cash back for August will be paid? I had really expected it by now!
Got my hgear and hfood payouts on the 12th at 1am, i'm also with FNB. Oh and my spend was at sportsmans and WW. I also got my hcare points from dischem but am not sure when that was awarded, i can't tell until the statement comes.

Has anyone reached their points for Diamond yet? Any chance Discovery will lower the points threshold this year?

I've run out of things to do for Diamond, not even at 40000 yet. Reached max on exercise already. :(

I'd you've hit your points cap, you must be relatively fit. Do the health check that's up to 22500 points.

Yes.. around June! Do your vitality fitness tests. You can also pick up 12000 points a year for healthy food :)

Anyone got an idea of the new discovery bank benefit that’s coming out at the end of the month.

Hah, I got like 2500. Blood pressure and weight. :(
You can do 2 health assessments a year with vitality, as long as they are more than 6 months apart.
So first prize is try improve your score and do another assessment before end of this year.
Otherwise, I suggest you look on discovery's website as to how you can earn more points.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered.

Considering the effects of especially the earlier levels of lockdown, do you think Discovery will reduce the Vitality points required to reach the various levels (e.g. diamond)?

Came to this thread wondering the same thing. I've been diamond for about 8 years now and it looks like I will lose it this year. As others have said I would be surprised if they do actually make an exception because being a client of Discovery feels like being a record in a large database.

Same, Gold for 3 years and the Diamond for 8 IIRC. I'll get to around 42,000 points by years end so no more Diamond for me, unless i redo the pharmacy test and / or the fitness test and score higher than i did.
