Discovery Vitality 2020

Has anyone reached their points for Diamond yet? Any chance Discovery will lower the points threshold this year?

I've run out of things to do for Diamond, not even at 40000 yet. Reached max on exercise already. :(

I'd you've hit your points cap, you must be relatively fit. Do the health check that's up to 22500 points.

Yes.. around June! Do your vitality fitness tests. You can also pick up 12000 points a year for healthy food :)

Anyone got an idea of the new discovery bank benefit that’s coming out at the end of the month.

Hah, I got like 2500. Blood pressure and weight. :(
You can do 2 health assessments a year with vitality, as long as they are more than 6 months apart.
So first prize is try improve your score and do another assessment before end of this year.
Otherwise, I suggest you look on discovery's website as to how you can earn more points.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered.

Considering the effects of especially the earlier levels of lockdown, do you think Discovery will reduce the Vitality points required to reach the various levels (e.g. diamond)?

Came to this thread wondering the same thing. I've been diamond for about 8 years now and it looks like I will lose it this year. As others have said I would be surprised if they do actually make an exception because being a client of Discovery feels like being a record in a large database.

Same, Gold for 3 years and the Diamond for 8 IIRC. I'll get to around 42,000 points by years end so no more Diamond for me, unless i redo the pharmacy test and / or the fitness test and score higher than i did.

Did Discovery not say that you'll maintain your 2020 status for 2021, unless you improve it? My app says I will be Diamond next year, even though I don't have the points for it.

You will carry your current status or last year status to this year and carry the status on 31 December to next year

Ive got to also say - the gym visits now are a pain in the A.

Virgin active claremont - they make you use a pen to write down your name + answers, after they take your temp. And then you go and scan your card - which you have to hold very slowly so it picks it up.
They had 5months.... why didnt they write an app that links to the card scan and the staff member can tap Y/ N on the questions for you? Felt like it took forever to get into the gym...

This is part of the reason I decided it's tome for a home gym. Lucky I have sort of space. But I really can't be arsed with the time waste they call covid counter measures.

Hi guys, currently with fnb, premier fusion client, lvl 5, getting about 800 - 1200 rand worth of ebucks a month. Nothing wrong with service but i feel like my ebucks is dropping and i have no other commitment with the bank. Those that moved over from fnb, was you service/kick backs roughly the sam/more?
Does it help to switch if you do not have medical aid or car insurance with discovery?
I see that you can get an iphone for free (depend on the effort you put in). Since this is another r600 per month saving, can you get this offer as you sign up?
Ps going to most likely go for the platinum bundle account.

The iPhone won’t be free if you don’t have discovery insurance.. you need to reach exercise, spending and driving targets. And you need to save a fair bit with discovery bank to reach diamond level, and spend quite a bit too. But .... you can get 50% back on healthy food, gear and care and 15% back on fuel. You just have to change your spending habits. At this stage of the year you will have to exercise a LOT to get to diamond level (where you get the 50% back) . Good luck

To move medical and car insurance to discovery is only about r200 more per month (can maybe chat my premium lower for car) but it sounds like its the best to do this at the start of the new year.
