Discovery Vitality 2023

Did anyone figure out how we can hit our spend target with a discovery account? ie: Cardless

Isn't that where you pay your contacts using their phone numbers? If you go into the app to make a payment, it shows all your contacts who have a Discovery Bank account. It's called Contact Payment.
Most probably correct! Seeing half empty glasses everywhere:X3:

I see on the app that next week I'll have a tile worth 119 miles because I spent R119 on HealthyFood. Given that the normal minimum value of a tile is 125 miles, does this mean I just nerfed one of my tiles by buying healthy food?

Lowest value tile on my side is DM100.

Any one not get their spend tile? Mine is only saying i have exercise and drive plays on the game board. When i look at the history it says i did not achieve my spend goal with a target of "-/-" but had more than enough spend.

Yes I did. It reflected correctly

My other thinking is to open a second account with FNB. At the moment my goal is low, so once I've achieved it I will pay with my second account until Saturday, when I'll use my DB card again.
That sounds like waaaaay too much admin for a rewards system. You literally have to open a second bank account at a different bank to keep your spending goals reasonably achievable?

How is that even remotely acceptable?

Beating Discovery at their own game. I'd rather pay R4.95 for a second account than R640 for my iPhone.

How does opening up a second bank with fnb help to increase your spend with Discovery?

I don't want to increase my spend with Discovery, that is the point. My current goal is 150 points, which is fine, but I can't do a goal of 500 points, unless my boss pays me more...

To use an example. If I take my car in for a service and it costs R10,000, how will that affect my future goals? This is a once off unusual expense. If my goal jumps 100 points because of this, I'll rather pay it out of FNB and keep my goal stable.

Yeah I'm in the same boat ,I also don't want to over achieve my spend goal as it will go up and also can't do anything more than 200 a week. I also can't miss my spend goal as it will affect my iPhone benefit. I prefer the old way

Good point. Kudos to you, though: I wouldn't want the additional hassle of having to make sure that the second bank account has the necessary balance to sustain my spending alongside trying to remember when to use one card and when to use another.

I thought about taking Discovery up on the zero-fee account so that I could at least access Vitality Travel - I simply wouldn't use the account for anything other than that access and it'd likely have a nil balance. Then I read about the fact that Vitality Travel doesn't permit payment with cards issued by any other bank aside from Discovery Bank and that ship quickly sailed over the horizon...

Some of Discovery's principles irk me. For instance, why should I have to "earn" a rest week? I can rest whenever I want to but Discovery says I can only do so after 25 weeks. It's unnerving that Discovery is trying to worm its way into controlling their clients' lives to the extent they want to.

Anyone else also have these all grayed out even though purchases were made from the partners ?

I did but they've since been filled in with the value of my highest purchase. Typically it takes a couple of days for the vendor to process the transaction. Only once the transactions have moved out of a pending state do they reflect there.

Does anyone have an idea when vitality drive 3 will launch ? Initially it was said in April, but I’ve been advised, by a vitality consultant, that there is no definite date
