Discovery Vitality 2023

So they're gonna fiddle with the Vitality Drive and Vitality Money active reward, but not telling us yet what they’re doing.

Weekly gameboard is nerfed. No more bonus play, and only get the 750 Miles tile if you have five Discovery products (including life insurance and investments). Bit you can double your tile value if you hit weekly goals for long streaks.

Vitality Money Active Rewards are total nonsense. The other stuff (Health and Drive) is at least a little bit in your best interests, but Vitality Money Active Rewards are completely opposite to your interests.

Don't know if I should post this here or in the bank thread but had this one open.
I got an iphone using the iphone benefits ithought I understood how it works but now I am not sure.
It looks like they allocated the cost to budget and charge interest on that.
Then allocate a payment from my credit card to the budget account.
If i hit my targets i get refunded a portion or the whole payment amount.
The thing that is confusing is the interest, will the budget account come to zero after the 24 months?
Or will the interest that has been accrued be sittingthere and have to be paid off?

Yes. After 24 months you'll owe nothing. Check your monthly statement. The budget amount decreases every month.

That's terrible. I never used to get the 750 miles tile anyway, but at least I had hope.

But you can double your tile value if you hit weekly goals for long streaks.

I guess that's something.

What irritates me is I've just recently taken out the iPhone benefit for rhr next 24 months based on thr fact that I will be able to achieve my weekly goals set out by them. But if they go and change how to achieve the weekly money goal I will be pissed if it's unachievable as the current way is annoying but I've allways achieved this.

I haven't read properly if they changing the way the money goal will be set?

It sounds similar to the previous rules. Looks like you get points for every 10 rand you spend. Instead of us swiping small amounts to get the points.

On face value rewards 3.0 looks pretty good with more integration with other products.

Yip so 1 point for every R10 but I think the goal will be personalised based on spend type of account card type etc. I just hope th4 goal is not to spend a large amount per week as I'm not a huge spender on my credit card

It will be in the end. 2.5k to 10k a week.

Wait, how does this work:
- the minimum spend points required to achieve the spend goal is 1 (so you must spend at least R10 per week to earn that 1 point and achieve the goal)
- the maximum spend goals are, for example, 750 points (for black) if you spend 750 *10 = R7500 per week

so if you don't spend R10 in a week you don't achieve the goal and if you spend more than R7500 you don't achieve the goal. The goal unlocks a gameboard play and is separate to the rate at which you earn discovery miles.

So the idea is to keep your spend between R10 and R7500 per week if you're on black?

Or am I misinterpreting this?
