Discovery Vitality 2023

Recently got the option of adding a secondary driver on my insure app. At the bottom you must agree to conditions of adding another driver. Anyone know if there is some hidden fees they will charge on top if adding another driver ?

Not sure. It doesn’t even work for me? Gives some null string error or some kak.

Problem with Vitality Drive: I have the sensor that has a Bluetooth connection to my phone, so if my phone isn't present, I lose ten drive points.

Last week, wife borrowed car and did two uncovered trips. No problem, I was planning to take the twenty point deduction. The problem is that it seems to have created some break in the connection so now even my covered trips aren't being picked up. I've tried all the basic troubleshooting like checking the app diagnostics and permissions, and restarting. Vitality Drive help refuses to acknowledge that there's a problem - the guy on my case was probably dropped on his head as a baby. Anyone manage to fix something like this?

iPhone with latest iOS, and Drive app latest version as well.

This is same reason I'm trying to figure out if I can add a second driver cause wife drives with my car quite a bit, losing 20 or 30 points everytime because it's not tracked.

Anyone notice Jump in drive status ? Did they drop point requirements?
Your status normally goes up towards the end of the month as all your daily drive points are accummulated. It goes down on the 1st because you reset to 0 daily drive points.

Or have you got points that you can’t account for?

Only recently discovered that my allocation of 47.5% discounted flights was down to 2. Thought it was a ongoing discount...

my understanding is you need to do the health check asap at the start of the year so you get your healthy food benefit for the year. is that not correct?

Technically no. Depends on when you did it the previous year.

IF you did these in 2022 in June, then you keep the higher discounts until end June 2023. At least for health.
You then need to do it again. But basically, you want to do it latest in June again.
The app usually show you a warning when you get near the end. Though not a notification, its buried in the app where you look at the info.

I can't make sense of the Discovery Money "Spend" goal.

I opened a Discovery Bank Savings account earlier this year. Apparently, in order to get points for "spend", all I need to do is use the account (as long as it isn't debit orders) and maintain a minimum of R500 in the account. So, let's say I already have R1000 in the account on Saturday. I go and spend some money on Saturday, spend some more on Sunday and for arguments sake, let's say I have R600 left over on Monday morning.
For some reason, when I check the Discovery activity rings on Monday morning, it says "insufficient savings" in the spend category with a progress of 0/20 under current progress.
How on earth does this Rewards Program work for the spend category? I can't find any documentation that actually makes sense or elaborates on the rules other than to say "spend money and keep a minimum of R500 in the account".

You need to keep a minimum balance of R1000 to qualify for the rewards part to start tracking. The R500 minimum is for the account level and isn't related to the rewards part of it.

But I agree it is poorly explained.

Something I can't make sense of with Vitality Drive is why I earn fewer points in a day leaving the car in the garage (46 points) versus taking the car out and having a perfect trip (63 points)
No drive days uses the average of the previous 30 days.
