Discovery Vitality 2023

Something I have noticed with drive 3.0 is even though you have 60 points. The sensors are way more sensitive. Using phone or breaking hard costs you multiple times more points. Sneaky bastards they are.
I think the points allocation is more arbitrary than anything else. Yesterday I woke to 60 points, and today to 47, even before I started driving. Last week Wednesday and Friday appear as 0 points for me.

Anyone else get a SMS which reflects the drive fuel cash back earned being this months rules instead of last months?

Basically it seems they've applied the 3.0 thresholds to last months 2.0 allocated points. If its the case I'll be getting R300 odd back instead of the R600 or so I should earn for last month.

Will wait for the email but pretty scummy if it is indeed what they're going to do.

It's a bit of a mess at the moment. When I called they said rhey will be paying out May's fuel based on mays drive status as it's allways been.
Then I asked for June's fuel will it be paid out for June's status she said yes. But I said thr email Discovery sent put said it will be paid based on previous months status.
It's all so confusing.

My points were a mess for a few days with some days showing 0 too but the last few days it has all been sorted and everything updates and is correct. Getting full allocation for no drive days and my trips update in a few minutes after they upload.

@ZackAfro I think it's not so much that the sensor is any more or less sensitive, but harsh driving events are more severely punished.

After meeting my money goals every week since I joined, the new money goal system has been nothing but pain. Ice pretty much written off the miles I used to get from this.

And to think they'll be taking away that extra 5/10% discount soon.

Hopefully eBucks will work me back into their system.1556930155.jpg

yip looks about right for me as well.

The more of us need to complain about thr money goal, it's affecting my iPhone benefit which I took out knowing I'll achieve the goal by the old way. This way is so unfair. I can't afford to pay what rhey want to pay everyweek .

How much do you need to spend?

It's the stupidest concept ever. How does spending more relate to good financial habits. What discovery should have done was made it a savings goal but that doesn't align to the Visa rewards system concept.
I honestly don't understand the behavioral change that Discovery hopes the spending goal will bring about. Just seems arbitrary.

Has anyone figured out how to use the Discovery Active gear discount Wicode on the Total sports online store? No stock of my selected watch in store but they have it online...

They are hoping that you keep spending more so they make more money from the processing fees... It's not for your benefit, it's for theirs. That's why almost all of the benefits that you used to get from Vitality just on the medical aid now require you to have the bank account as well.

Discovery's products are complicated, convoluted, confusing and cunning.

Had the same issue and was given the run around....eventually sales in store advised I purchase it online and when I collect in store they do a credit to the card and load the discount using the code...

Just tried doing my monthly Takealot order and the Miles D-Day discount for me is showing as 20% when I was expecting 40%.

Technical error, or have they recently changed something about how the discount is calculated?

Edit: just double-checked all the rules, and I'm still meant to get a 40% discount today, so it's just yet another bug in their damn system.

Nope, i have the same problem. Bought a Lego set and see only 20% was applied. Will call the discovery bank circus at 8 and tell them to fix it, i wanted to spend the other 15k miles on other stuff at Makro. According to their website, 15 june is double miles day.

Devs aren't great at date arithmetic. Likely scrambling to fix it this morning. On discovery.com the countdown clock to miles day is wrong, it thinks today is June 14.

Discovery bank have received several calls regarding the issue. They are trying to resolve and sort out the transactions that were done at the normal discount.
