So what you can do is pay for the item at full price then go to the closest store to you and ask them to add the voucher, they will do a refund on the credit.Has anyone figured out how to use the Discovery Active gear discount Wicode on the Total sports online store? For this week, I see they dropped my target from 450 to 270. It could be they smelt some excellent coffee or their computer gremlins at work.I honestly don't understand the behavioral change that Discovery hopes the spending goal will bring about. Just seems arbitrary.
Same, 500 to 270.For this week, I see they dropped my target from 450 to 270. It could be they smelt some excellent coffee or their computer gremlins at work.
I’m on max tier for both discovery and fnb, for me the 35% + cashback potential rate is higher on discovery since I main shop from woolies. I earn back roughly R2k pm with discovery miles, get roughly half that on ebucks. With FNB my main bank - only swipe at discovery at their cashback partners.Posted on the discovery bank thread but maybe it belongs here.
Not entirely sure how to pose this question so here goes.
I'm aware of all the hoopa etc to jump for fnb ebucks etc.
But I'm toying with the idea of shifting to discovery.
Moving all bank, insurance, medical aid etc.
This year I have got my health in order and I'm the healthiest I have ever been. Gym 4 times a week(about 1.25, hours a session) plus pilates (hour) got hrm from 75 to 55 bpm over the last 6 months and dropped from 108.8kg to 97kg, throw in some hiking etc. I'm a "boring" driver etc. Insurance ultra low risk etc. Shop for groceries at ww so got that healthy food thing too etc 90% of our food is fresh fruit and veg.
So my question is is it worth it?
How can I see what I can potentially save etc?
I'm aware that to win you actually need to hit things hard etc but I'm pretty mucb doi ng that anyway
I think you’ll do great earning Discovery Miles, probably better than eBucks. You're doing all the right things.Posted on the discovery bank thread but maybe it belongs here.

Thanks! Will have a look into that the workouts are quite intense tho 70min with an avg of 122.I think you’ll do great earning Discovery Miles, probably better than eBucks. You're doing all the right things.
It's very difficult to calculate exactly how much you'll get back (I think Discovery deliberately makes it so), so my advice is sign up for three months (there might be a three-months-free promotion on) and then see. If you and your wife are on the same medical aid as member and dependant, you have to sign up as a couple, and your tier is calculated as your average (my wife dragged me down from Diamond to Silver!). Once you've signed up, do the online age assessment and health checks (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc) as soon as possible.
For insurance, the premium will likely be higher than what you could get at a place like Naked, but you can take your fuel rewards in a special account with Discovery (IFA - insure funder account) which makes them grow twice as fast (and if you also have home contents insurance, the reward is even higher). The IFA can only be used to pay your excess in case of a claim, so once you build up, let's say R10k in your IFA, you can lower your insurance premium by raising the excess, and then start taking your rewards as cash. And as long as you stay on Diamond tier for Vitality Drive, your premiums don't increase.
This actually makes it harder to earn points. The higher your heart rate, the more exercise points you earn. You get 300 points for 30 minutes at a heart rate of about 150 (give or take, depending on your age).

As you said already doing everything well. So let me take a little look into this world.
Side note I belong to a smaller local gym they have a discovery vitality badge will that suffice? Don't really wanna move enjoy the independent gym I belong to
Thanks this is what a typical week looks like also 35 years old70 min at 122 will give you 100 points. Attached pdf shows the heart rates for workouts per age.
60-70% for 30 minutes or more: 100 points
70-80% for 30 minutes: 200 points
70-80% for 60 minutes: 300 points
>80% for 30 minutes: 300 points
If your gym has the badge, I think you get 100 points just for visiting for some set time (not 100% sure - I don't visit gyms), but if you use a heart rate monitor, you don't need to worry too much about this. Doing 200-point and 300-point workouts, you'll get the max exercise points each year. I max my exercise points without ever visiting a gym.

That have changed the drive rules making it very hard to get 50%I think you’ll do great earning Discovery Miles, probably better than eBucks. You're doing all the right things.

Yeah from what I've followed in Workout thread I do think you will be a good position to get a lot out of Vitality.Posted on the discovery bank thread but maybe it belongs here.

That is correct, check out my post above. That discount is tied to your Vitality Money status/level and not your health status/level.How does one get more than 35% off on international flights? I am currently getting 30% due to my health being Gold, but they say with discovery bank you can boost it to up to 75%? Do you need the suite? A bit confused here lol
Is Vitality Active rewards iPhone benefit gone for good from 1 July 2023?
