Discovery Vitality 2024

Does anyone know how to deal with negative Discovery Insure's Vitalitydrive points arising from testing of the brakes by a mechanic? I logged in my car for brake systems repair, and because the mechanic tested the brakes, now it shows harsh braking with points deducted.

This reminds me of how I don't miss my days trying to explain how the real world works to Discovery Insure.

I don’t understand the harsh braking component of Vitality Drive. It’s not like anybody ever slams brakes for the thrill of it.

Yep, I am sure there is an argument for not braking too hard to avoid being rear ended, but most of the time I have ever braked hard is to avoid an accident. So, to not get negative points, have an accident...

I contacted DiscInsure and they asked for a paid invoice as "proof of the work that was done [for them] to look at the transgressions." In my case, the brakes were fitted last November last year and had returned to be rechecked so no new invoice other than the job card they do not want to accept.

This nonsense is one of the reasons I moved from Discovery Insure.

Does anyone know if Vitality still punishes you if you buy more than a certain amount of unhealthy food (in their opinion) per month with your card linked to PnP/Woolworths?

Anyone else getting this issue on the Discovery App, I don't seem to have a rewards target for the last few days.

Or is my target reset to zero for some reason? Screenshot_20240204_190939_Discovery.jpg

Where can one do a max heart rate test ? Personally I think, not the easiest thing to do, but is there somewhere I can go to get a report or something and send to Discovery so that I can reduce my weekly points goal ? For me to reach 300 points for a 30 min exercise I will have to give myself a heart attack. I am a fit person with a very low heart rate.

Have you tried chatting to the Discovery WhatsApp channel? The Vitality peeps there are usually very helpful

Is that the only change?

There will probably be more. The email is not really well structured and most of the stuff is not new per say such as the addition for points for 60% to 69% of your max heart rate for excising for more than 1 hour. But after reading through again noticed that padel is on its way:

```
Coming soon…
Get ready to smash your padel game with the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit coming early March!
