Discovery Vitality 2024

How the royal fsckity fsck do I get this goddamn Discovery app to take my workouts?

1.) I've got a Polar Verity Sense linked via Polar Flow --> my heart rate data isn't syncing despite it being on my phone (via the Polar Flow app or online via the user / password Discovery asks for).

2.) I can confirm this data can sync to Apple Health - so the Polar is readable from another app.

3.) Adding both Apple Health and Polar Flow to Discovery still doesn't allow my heart rate data to be shown / captured for workout pts.

4.) I've tried delinking devices, uninstalling the Discovery app and checking Privacy settings on the iPhone / Apple Health to confirm that all items are shareable with Discovery.

I'm frustrated to all hell :X3:
 
Sorry dont see a seperate thread for insurance but any one else get hit with a 10% increase for car insurance from April 2024 due to "adverse weather events" in kzn and they warn the normal annual increase will still apply to the new amount.

Yip, I moved from Discovery Insure because I don't want to drive around like an old tannie and annoying everyone else on the road.

Are you on diamond status for vitality drive.
 
no think i have had 3months at gold and one at silver so will fall out. so altogether looking at a sizeable increase in premium

edit: will have to dry my eyes with the fuel cash back.

Reconsider your insurance provider at those levels you not getting much back
 
I fail to see how Discovery car insurance is value for money -- even with the cashback. Was quoted R2300 per month for a RAV4 when Naked quoted R1300. I don't see how I'll get R1000 cashback a month (I don't drive a lot) and with Naked when I'm not driving my car the premium reduces to R600.

For barebones cover, Discovery Insure isn't worth it. The reason I like them, is that they do allow a small amount of business use on their standard policy, which works for me. I never had that with my previous insurer.

How much is your monthly petrol spend?
 
My naked premium was R2100, switch to discovery after a year to R1600 plus clear R400-R600 a month cash back. I was a basket case though. Had been overseas 5 years so due to no insurance history premium was high but after a year naked would not reasses the premium so jumped ship.
 
@Neuk_ , I am not having an issue with Vitality Active Rewards points reflecting per say, but in my case the gym visit tracker is not syncing since January. I reached out to discovery and they are investigating that. If the vitality Active Rewards are still not updating, best to reachout to discovery via the app to poke them into investigating.

In terms of benefits, seems padel is now here: https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/activate-padel-benefit

Thanks, I made contact with them last week, they sorted out the syncing issue but I had to contact them again as I was not getting rewards for achieving my exercise goals, still waiting for feedback.
 
Did anyone else notice that the Kauai Smoothie option went from 250 pts to 300 pts to redeem?

It not worth it anymore to save up the points for a coffee.

As another member once said, meeting your goal for the week meant you were at least guaranteed a coffee.

I convert them to cash immediately.
 
Has anyone received their VO2 Max points as yet?
It was meant to start from 1 April 2024.
Apparently the VO2 max reading would be synced from your linked device.
 
Anyone banking with Discovery want to send me a bank referral code to sign up with so we both get some Miles ?
